With all the different stories and excuses lee has fabricated, it's difficult to keep track of his shameful attempts to evade paying his design bill.

Below are some answers to the questions lee won't answer (or doesn't want to because he knows how stupid they make him look):

Q: What's all this business about?
A: Lee ordered a site approximately 2 years ago and never paid for it

Q: What was lee's reason for not paying?
A: It depends what month of the year it is:
1) Initially, Lee said the design was PERFECT & DONE and said over ICQ he would pay for it, but was waiting for money to come available in his paypal
2) Then, after not paying for the design and ignoring all attempts to resolve the outstanding invoice, lee admitted he was in the wrong, apologized for not
paying, and said he would promptly pay the invoice.
3) A few months later, lee said he would not pay the design bill because the designs were posted on gfy and his site launch had been ruined.
4) After that, lee blamed the fact he hadn't responded to my emails / icq's on a tropical hurricane
5) lee's current attempt to evade paying involves claiming he's not happy with the design - something that is new to me, as he has never expressed any concerns to me other than is total satisfaction with the site we designed.

i wont vote in a thread, gfy threads have little to do with ripping someone off.

he pulled a very old trick, ive had it done to me and you have to chase them down for money.

He 'commissioned' the artist to do a job.
Artist fulfilled his/her part of the contract.

BlueDesignStudios (BDS) is 100% correct ? it is the principal !
Again, people are not being accountable for their actions, yet others seem to want to look the other way (tisk tisk).

I am sorry to read about what transpired, BDS.
(If a person is going to bitch about ?drama over $550?, then you buy the debt, pay BDS, and you deal with EuroLeanPee.)

Point is, you agreed to a contract and accepted the design, and you paid. It sounds like in this instance, Lee accepted the site, said "we are done", BDS completed the necessary steps to finish the design and then Lee decided not to pay. I don't think this issue has anything to do with quality, if Lee agreed to the design, then he should pay, flat out.

I'm not talking about lee's acceptance of the design. I'm talking about my personal experience and how over the years the quality of his teams design work is lacking unless you pay big money over one thousand. Seems to me you don't what the point of my message actually was. Don't tell me what I accepted or didn't you know nothing about me. I'm speaking about how it seems some design companies nowadays DON'T CARE about you if you pay little money like $550 and they treat you as a 'throw away number' just another client on the list to get through to make that money by the end of the week.

why isnt this being dealt in the courts? As much as I can sympathize with blue design - by posting threads like this, you are giving Lee the opportunity to sue you for slander and defamation of character - which will allow him to sue for more than 550$ should he be able to prove that this has hurt his reputation in doing business.

Simply take him to small claims court and deal with it there - I assume you had a contract - invoice etc that he acknowledges he received?

Slander is spoken, libel is written. They both hinge on saying things that are untrue and that harm the person referenced.

Lee's chances of proving that, especially given his thread title, are slim to none and I'd say none's in the lead.

Please dont misunderstand me - I want to see Blue get all the money he is deserved - yet Lee more than likely couldnt care less what is being said on this board since he knows full well that the majority of gay webmasters out there that he does business with dont really take GFY seriously.

Blue can scream all they want, but Lee is not going to pay attention because he knows very well that GFY is NOT going to affect his business one bit. Lee is also aware that GFY is not going to ruin his reputation.. there are many other webmaster boards out there that dont even know the drama that happens on this board. Hundred of webmasters I speak to a month have no clue what happens here or even care. If I was to bring up a topic - as soon as I mention it was posted on gfy I get scoffed at saying, "its gfy, who pays attention to that board?"

If Blue is serious about getting their money back, then they will need to take this to small claims court.

I had a design I was working on about a year ago, wasn't happy with the interface I had made, liked the rest of the design so decided to hire another designer to design the interface - i'd heard good things about Blue Design so looked at their portfolio and was impressed with most of it - so hired them to do the interface for $350. What I got back was a piece of shit, asked them to do better, got back only a slightly better piece of shit - i'd seen enough, i knew my job had been handed off to some minimum wage outsourced labor and just paid the $350 and threw the interface where it belonged.

when you hire a design company - make sure you get it understood upfront WHO is going to work on your project - if there's a design in the portfolio you like then request that that designer be the one who does your job.

I had a design I was working on about a year ago, wasn't happy with the interface I had made, liked the rest of the design so decided to hire another designer to design the interface - i'd heard good things about Blue Design so looked at their portfolio and was impressed with most of it - so hired them to do the interface for $350. What I got back was a piece of shit, asked them to do better, got back only a slightly better piece of shit - i'd seen enough, i knew my job had been handed off to some minimum wage outsourced labor and just paid the $350 and threw the interface where it belonged. when you hire a design company - make sure you get it understood upfront WHO is going to work on your project - if there's a design in the portfolio you like then request that that designer be the one who does your job. __________________ I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting.
