Question for the dutchies

If you register by Chamber of Commerce in the Netherlands as required by Verotel Pro are you required to pay tax in NL also?

Is it the same as applying for a VAT nr.?

Any help is appriciated.

Thanks...

I assume you are not dutch. How do you handle VAT on your EU sales?

not true and depends on a lotta details.

Everyone can apply for a VAT nr, even one man owned biz, in that case its just your soc sec number, business registered at the KvK have to pay taxes here, unless theyre exempt and not many are believe me.

Are you saying that registering by KvK is the same as having a business that must pay its taxes in NL?

In the end I will not the taxes because of the double tax treatment but I want to avoid the hassle this involves anyway.

We have been dealing with alot of sponsors lately that want this.

Disclaimer: Consult a tax advisor or the local tax authority. I have to say that because I am unauthorized to give tax advice.

With that being said, it is my understanding that with a Verotel PRO registration you are only registering a branch office. This branch office registration is solely used for registration purposes with the acquiring banks of Verotel and with VISA and MasterCard International. Furthermore, the branch office of the limited liability company may not be used in any commercial, non-commercial or any other activity in the Netherlands.
