SoS is doing the right thing by taking action now, there is definitely something up, and with all this help I'm sure he'll kick its ass.

The ratio was 1:361, not 1:700, but even so that's way too high. My overall silvercash join page ratio is 1:57 and my overall topbucks 1st page uniques ratio is 1:151. A mix of traffic sources.
So yes, sos is smart to start tweaking although I think he still needs a lot more traffic in order to really get a feel for it.
Something else to keep in mind (maybe sos can clarify), some of those 722 hitting the join page were coming there directly from somewhere I think he said in the other thread. So it could be crap traffic inflating the numbers poorly. He should have that traffic go to a second join page or not even allow it for now so he can get a clearer picture. At this point of the game I'd have all the traffic hit the first page of the tour and then add the other options later once things have been tuned up. |
