(the trial was only added last night to test also)
700 uniques from 50k gallery hits?

that's a CTR of about 1,5% (if we're talking about first page clicks), so I guess they're showing first page hits, otherwise the CTR of your gallery would be REALLY bad!

So if you look at it this way, a ratio of 1:700 isn't bad at all with this kind of traffic..

Correct me if I'm wrong here

Well then go back to the beginning of what this threads about man
A solo girl site can only do so much and lets face it...

Solo girls sites are about playing the level of openness with the members and traffic with what they do.

Case and point would be of course Tawny Stone.
A site that gave surfers a sense of "involvement" at looking into the girls sexual life to an extent. A fan site per say.

i'd prefer to focus on the tour in this thread, members area can be another thread after this one

plus a couple of people have been really helpful and given me a shitload of info on how to improve retention (thanks joker)

Actually, I believe it is closer to 50%, but he does have a join link on the front page, it is just too small to see.

BTW, I noticed you guys got a flurry of signups . . . does that mean you are promoting your site again?

Was just thinking that same thing.

Stay on topic. Member's Area tweaks for Retention will come later, as I mentioned earlier. Stick to the lack of initial signups question.

i do hope those paycom stats are accurate... 1 signup for 700 first page uniques i would be happy with...

and 1.5% CTR sounds about right, since most people on pinkworld are looking for hardcore movies, correct?

and Alien, I believe what Steve is saying is that you need a join now link on every page. Don't make the surfer hunt around so he can join.

well not sure about that, but if you take a first page -> 2nd page CTR of about 5%, and you assume those 700 hits were 2nd page, that would mean you got 14000 first page hits, which means a CTR of almost 30%.. and that's kinda unreal

Math wasn't my best course at school, but I guess I'm kinda right.. right?

I've never used paycom but if you can, mirror your tour for each traffic source...that way you can get a basic idea of what's working until you get better tracking - eg
www.site.com/thehun/
www.site.com/adwords1/
www.site.com/bannerbuy1/
www.site.com/bannerbuy2/
and so forth...dont' got nuts with a billion front ends - for smaller tgps/sources use
www.site.com/tgp/

If you can't, find another processor that has some sort of tracking built in. You'll be pissing into the wind until you can read your traffic. You won't be able to tell what kind of traffic or what kind of advertising works.

Nats is a good program and I'm not knocking it at all - but you shouldn't have done that. Other processors have fairly decent affiliate tracking built in - all you had to do was create inhouse accounts to track the different sources.

Regardless, good luck with things.

-definitel have a trailer on each page.. or maybe just one... but have her tease and not show too much... you want the surfer's attention and the feind to join to see more.... same with the tour.. you dont want to show everything all in tour....

i tihnk thats it for now..... i still have more to say about the members area...

i don't have any choice of other processors.. i'm in canada so i had to form a corporation in the states just to be able to use paycom..... and i'm lucky i was able to do even that.... ccbill requires the principle owner of the company to live in the states and have a US SSN also...

Abyss, you're saying that someone staring at them on the join page was better, or worse, than the random pics? The English got a little botched, I missed it. Thx

All in all we are talking about 1 in 700 off of TGP traffic.

That is not bad.

Alien being an ass or not, that design is good. It needs some text changes, but the fundamental layout/look is very solid.

Seriously SOS give it a go off of some softer traffic sources that might help.

the 2nd page thing Abyss mentioned is not such a bad idea either. I always fight with myself about having a next button that goes to a join page.

Ultimatly it probably would help.

The TGP route though 1 in 700 is no where near what the median would be with TGP traffic. The real median might be way higher. even 1 in 1200, 1 in 4000.

I never been a fan of TGP traffic for the bad ratio reasons alone.
Not to mantion with TGP traffic the traffic is very ravanous requiring a constant influx of content.

Do not give the house away.

that's a CTR of about 1,5% (if we're talking about first page clicks), so I guess they're showing first page hits, otherwise the CTR of your gallery would be REALLY bad!

So if you look at it this way, a ratio of 1:700 isn't bad at all with this kind of traffic..

Correct me if I'm wrong here
YARGH! I agree. I think it could be better though. Some tweaks to the design (Shortening the amount of tour pages as The Other Steve Suggested), and a special bit of Chio's magic promotion techniques should help Sam quite a bit.

The other sites you named are different genre of paysites altogether .
It probably wouldn't hurt to get some subniche working for him too....I see alot of these solo girl sites doing some niche content whether it be a foot fetish thing, or some real specific stuff like balloons. This is all just stuff I've noticed while promoting sites for quite some time. I'm no bigtime gonzo pornographer, just a guy who affiliates with alot of different sites.

No doubt man .. Here I thought you could get 1:100 conversions off of TGP traffic with a brand new site with a great design. I didn't even know 1:1200 or 1:4000 was acceptable.
