What's a link worth on a PR5 site? - GoFuckYourself.com

Set aside traffic, just for PR reasons. What would you pay? Listed near the top or a spot in the Top trading list? Thinking about selling links or is it a waste of time now since many think PR has little to do with SERPs.

i dunno, but almost every one of my sites is a PR4

is it that much harder to move to a 5? just wondering...

it very much is exponentially harder for each step

One would assume it is better, but at PR4, ya get crawled often enough. Just got the PR5 back, so I'll have to find out. Can tell ya PR4 beats the hell out of PR3 though. More attention from google.

Maybe WG will comment?

Sleazy is a pr4 and so is Shemp. I know Shemp's sites used to be PR5s (maybe some are yet - didn't check 'em all). I can tell ya that both have more traffic and sales than I do.

that sounds good for sure... i just noticed this week that WildWestCash is now a PR4, ExtremeHolly is a PR4 (the tour1.html page), my old TGP SlinkyLinks is a PR4 (index1.html) and BlowjobRaces is a PR3...

Aim for an authority site status in this industry... Make it relevant to a hugely generic SE term ( sex or xxx ) and then come on here asking :P You will get much different reaction

PR should only be used as an indicatore to how often a sites is indexed - it have nothing to do with SE placement (well - almost nothing) I have pr4 sites that get listed higher than pr7. Everything above PR4 is good.

as soon as you go PR5 and abowe, you should set the metatag to how often you would like to be indexed - or else you will get hammered with spiders and bots = slow site

PR(A) = (1-d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + ... + PR(tn)/C(tn))

While we are not certain if this formula is still the one used by Google, it is probably at least very similar.

In the formula, PR(A) is the PageRank of the page = (1- d) where d is a "damping factor considered to be about 0.85 + d(PR(t1) where t1 is the PR of the incoming link page + ...+ PR (tn) is the Page Rank of all of the linking pages. Each page is divided by C which is the number of outgoing links from each page.

Actually if you want to be a PR5 or PR6 and set that as your goal. Just a matter of time before you get there. The obvious, that's not the whole game. Some respect and are impressed that ya make it to a PR5. And the PR4 and above does count for google attention. If you don't believe that, then you're the one that needs the clue.

A ton of pay sites really booking bank with zip for PR. The obvious, there is more than one way to traffic besides the SEs.

PR isnt everything, you are right about that, but if you know how to use it properly and understand how it can benefit you, it is very important in the big scheme.

There are a lot of factors in the price besides the PR. Factor in how many external links are on the page, where the links are on the page (top, bottom, etc), whether the links are in a list or within a paragraph of text, and finally if the site is relevant or not.

If it's a PR5, has less than 10 external links, is not too far down on the page, and on-topic to a site, it can be very valuable.

I think PR is way overrated.

It took the site in my sig 2 months to get to PR 4. But i'm sure there are lots of PR 0 sites that get way more traffic

I think all of Chokers sites are PR0s now (a google ban for the obvious) and look at his traffic.

The point of all this was to see if anyone thought there was any value in a PR5 backlink. Idea = I get the opportunity to make a few

. From the conversation here, it's not worth makling the post to sell the spots unless I have a few hundred K of traffic to go with it.

We have a pr4 that gets 10k a day - pure SE spam, and a pr7 pure SE spam that gets 1500 a day with similar effort. Understanding why it is so is what makes a good SE spammer.

One link from a pr5 is worth close to nada, nothing, zero, unless it's part of a bigger picture.

Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.
