Should I Even Bother Going To See War Of The Worlds ???

Haven't had time to go see it yet, but i was thinking of going to the cinema later tonight.

Read more than a few reports from people here who've seen it and said it was shit.

Not worth bothering about ???

There are other movies I'd rather see. Tom Cruise got on my nerves, so I'm boycotting.

Just rent Independence Day and Signs instead and save $5.

I saw and its a great time. Very entertaining. Won't win Oscars, but its definitely a great summer movie to see on the big screen.

I was entertained and there are some tense moments but I would recommend waiting for the DVD.

Great summer movie, I highly recommend it, especially if you like sci-fi/action.

Couple of decent special effects but the story line is crappy, the actors annoying and the ending was pretty lack-luster.

Wait for it to come out on DVD

I would see it on the big screen, if only because the special affects would be totally lost on TV.

Don't even bother wasting your time. The acting is horrible, the logic of the entire thing is very flawed and the ending is rancid. You would be much better off just burning the $7.50 in front of some friends.

6.9/10 with 25,447 votes on imdb.com

I'm not sure if you are familiar with imdb but 6.9 with 25k votes is a good sign the movie is enjoyable. The top 250 movies of all time on imdb have a cutoff right now of about 7.8 and I have found that any movie that hits 7 range on that site is usually entertaining. The voters on that site are usually on the money when their is a significant sample of votes, unlike when you read a review in the paper and its really just one person's opinion.

You can try Fantastic 4 instead. Tom and Spielderg's recent movie was not that good as you expect.
