The intro was a bit messy, then when the vocals kicked in the mix for the guitar was too low, couldn't really hear the bass... I like what ya did around the 2:18 mark... maybe add a guitar solo in there....

Just play with the mix a bit and it would be much better

No prob man... I love music... I play guitar and keyboards and dabble in recording/mixing when I can find the time.

Is that your band?

It's just me messing around in my studio. I haven't done music professionally in years and mostly I do jazz/fusion when I record. But, my daughter had me teaching her alot of the "numetal" stuff lately so I ended up writing this on a riff I was messing with. I just wondered if it was any good. I can judge the jazz/fusion stuff since it's what I love most but newer rock sounding stuff I have no good barometer.

not bad, esp. if this isn't your first choice of music. The chord changes in the bridge section aren't really working for me. Like Ice said, the breakdown section after the 2nd chorus is a high point and could be expanded on.

=] I had a blast doing those drums. Took me two days to get them how I wanted. You got anything online I can hear too? It's always good to trade.

Nothing online.... it's all on my other computer that is still in Toronto. It would be fun to jam with ya one day though. I'm still trying to get the recording/mix thing down... I'm more old school... plug a Les Paul into my Marshall and rock it out.... but there is so much you can do with the stuff out these days....

Well okay cool. =] I've got stuff up there all the way back from the 1990 hairband days.

Here's another jazz/fusion one:
