Congrats and good luck with that move Steve. No need to say we're watching closely :)

ShaneRyale 07-12-2005 07:46 AM

Damn, I knew I should have locked down that Jordan Capri - COHF deal with Steve! LOL, jk

Great move Steve. Can't wait to see what other new projects you have coming up! Hopefully something that will work great for my traffic.

No disrespect Steve,

But it's funny to me that anyone Dare have an issue with this.
If I had to guess I'd say Lightspeed probably spends between 20-50k per month ( on slow months) on advertising for their program.

Steve has come to the realization that is it not necessary, and that new affiliates as a whole are not a good ROI. He now reserves the right to pick and choose who he lets promote and that is understandable.

You realize how much money these company's waste??? Most times I have to believe it's out of the goodness of their heart or the desire to " be the man" Huge sponsorships for PHX forum or Internext you really don't think there is a return anymore do ya??

Makes complete sense Steve, Keep up the good work.

hova 07-12-2005 08:39 AM

very interesting move, I think more programs will do this in the near future

Babagirls 07-12-2005 08:41 AM

NOT such a bad idea. Good luck with that, Steve! :thumbsup

I'm surprised that no one brought up the fact that keeping a tighter rein on affiliates also means much less attempted fraud by affiliates. I think too many people get too caught up in the number of joins they do per day as opposed to how much they make per join per day.

V_RocKs 07-12-2005 01:07 PM

Awesome move.. I wish everyone did this so that the growth of surfers to webmasters to trolls would slow down... a lot of surfers are figuring out that they can just signup and then grab the FHG's.

Only $200? This is very cheap IMO. Fair price may be between $500 - $1000 / year

I'm picking up what you are putting down Steve.

I know your designers are smarter then this but just thought I'd throw it out anyways.. A non nude hosted gallery means non nude graphics too.. It's funny to see sponsors say NN FHG and you look at them and sure the images are NN but the graphics are the same nude ones :1orglaugh

Sorry for the late bump but I just found this and had to post.. Very interesting move but I'm sure it will work out nicely for you.. :thumbsup

Brujah 07-24-2005 10:43 AM

I actually don't have a Lightspeed account :/ I was waiting for them to stop using ccbill first.

Radik 07-24-2005 11:12 AM

I was thinking, hmm, someone scammed ls out of some heavy coin. Started to make sense by the end of the thread although.. Good idea.
