I recieved some content in .VOB format and I need to know the best software to convert these files into .AVI's

Sidenote :: It would be nice if the software was able to rip a whole DVD into on contiguious .AVI file.

Are there DVD players that could play my burned disks?

if so does anyone know one offhand??

I use DVD Maestro to convert the avi to Vob, I am sure you can go backwards, but never done it. I am not a big fan of doing what you are trying to do, mainly because I haven't the time.

As for DVD players, if you encode it right, it should work on any.

Very simply, if you have the DVDs on hand (not already ripped, I'm saying) you'd want to use DVD decrypter and set the mode to IFO.

Next download AutoGK and follow the small tutorial provided. In no time you should be able to convert them, it does take awhile when doing a 2-pass so bear with it. Just google "AutoGK" it's free and works great.
