Any Hockey fans left out there?

Well it looks like the lockout will be over this week!!

Here are a few links, check them out, the players got fucked!! which i find funny, they would have been better off if they signed the new deal last year! The terms, from what i read, are not that good for the players and lower then they wanted, and yes they will have a salary cap, which they allways said they would never accept!!

The NHLPA fucked these players, they were better off before!! A lot of paycuts now!

the players were brainwashed by the NHLPA!!

If you interviewed the players i am sure most of them would have played last year and acepted the salary cap, most of the players just want to play, especially the ones making the small bucks! the players did not want to sit out a year!!

i'm very dissapointed that hockey has gone through all this bullshit. in my city we have been having a hard enough time keeping our hockey team around to begin with. then this bullshit happened. i'm pretty sure the penguins will be gone within a year. it's sad because i love hockey, but the sport has really just gone to hell in the last couple years.

Well if you have been following the CBA news you would have seen the way the owners were willing to compromise, and gave many offers close to what the NHLPA wanted, but the NHLPA was greedy, that is why i say the owners cared more, they were willing to talk and make offers which really was giving in at the time, some of the offers the NHLPA turned down were crazy, much better then they wound up with.

Los Angeles Kings forward Sean Avery says NHL players were wrong and are sorry for the lockout which cost fans an entire NHL season.

"We were brainwashed," he tells the Los Angeles Times about the decision to follow the union's advice during contract talks with the owners.

"We burned a year for nothing. We didn't win anything. We didn't prove anything. We didn't get anything. We wasted an entire season."

Avery places the blame for hte situation squarely on the shoulders of union boss Bob Goodenow, who he says "embarassed" a lot of players.

"I am furious at Bob (Goodenow)," Avery tells the newspaper. "Bob thought he was bigger than he was. Bob brainwashed players like me."

Avery claims most of the players did not know what was going on during the talks, did not know the "real story".

"We underestimated how rich the owners were," he said. "Nobody thought they would be willing to burn a season."

"They won. They beat us."

Avery says he understands the fans negative reaction towards the players.

"The saddest thing that happened to me during the lockout was the two or three times that fans asked me what was going on," he said. "I wished I could have apologized to them then. I apologize to them now."

"We owe the fans everything, we need to get them back, we need to cross our fingers that they will come back," he said.
