Do you put your computer directly on the floor, or on your desk or something?

If you put it on your floor then how do you protect your floor from the head and dust and crap your computer puts out?

I put mine on my floor and now the rug is dirty after months of it.

I put it on the floor and don't have that problem...
This may be a shock to you but computers don't generate "dust and crap"...

I've got 1 in the desk compartment and the other 2 on the floor at each side of my feet. I've never noticed any dust on my floor from it. It's actually rather clean under there... except for that potato chip that I dropped the other day and didn't know where it fell. lol

Hell half the time the PC I use reguarly is case cover optional. When it is in a case though I have little fiberglass filters that fit over oversized vents/fans on my PC. Keeps everything from getting too dusty inside. Need those oversized vents though so I get enough airflow.

Hell I think I can make 2 more decased PCs out of my scrap box.

Floor. I vaccum the carpet weekly, and dust machine. So I do not have to worry about "dust and crap" getting in the machine.

My desk has a bottom compartment for the tower, but lately I've been doing some tweaking and it's been on top of the desk with the cover open.

I'm thinking about leaving it on the desk. It's nearly impossible to get to the back ports when it's in the compartment and I can't slide it out far enough because of the monitor wire. I have various electronics that need to occasionally interact with the PC and I don't have dedicated ports for all of them.

I have some 1'X1' tiles that I put them on. No issues with carpet filth that way.
