IPOD - Best prices? Advice on versions...
Hello all,
I'm finally ready to take the plunge and buy an Ipod. I've held off on buying one for a long time now, because I don't do a whole lot of travelilng and I felt it would go to waste. But with the addition of RCA jack adaptors, and other cool things where you could use the Ipod as a full-blown component in a home stereo system, I'm finally sold. So now I'm looking around on PriceWatch and PriceGrabber to try to find the best prices on NEW (don't want a refurb) units. I'm seeing prices in the $255 range being around the lowest for a 4th Gen 20gb unit. The 30gb units aren't really at that "sweet spot" yet in pricing, so I'll most likely get the 20. My question is this.... what is the real difference between the 4th gen vs. the previous generations? Is it simply the wheel interface and physical width of the Ipod, or are there other things as well? And lastly, can anyone point me in the direction of a reputable site with good prices on the 20gb Ipods? Please keep the "free Ipod" offers out of this thread ![]()

And then Ebay... well that's another story entirely. Anything with the name "Ipod" will get bid to death. There are people buying used Ipods on there for $300+! It really blows the mind... So anyway... back to my original two questions: 1) Differences between the generations of Ipods? 2) Good sites to buy from, with rock bottom prices?
