How often does your credit card get "compromised"?

Today I found out my corporate credit card is compromised, again. I swear this is the third time in the past 12 months. Now I have to sit and wait 10-15 business days for my new card to arrive so I cany make payments and conduct my business. That is unacceptable, IMO, but I wanted to see if anybody else has similar problems with their bank or credit union.

I'm starting to wonder if my credit union really sucks due to the compromised status so often, or if they're just really good at finding possible compromised situations. I think I'm going to switch, real soon.

Never happened to me. I got a letter from Citicorp once (a letter - like that's going to be the fastest way to deal with things) asking me to call them about a questionable charge. I did and the CSR said they had already taken care of it - I made sure to call the 800 on my card, NOT the letter I got just in case it was a fake.

Now that I've said that, every one of my cards is going to be hacked tomorrow!!

It's for your own protection. Like seatbelts, motorcycle helmets and homeland security. :

Oh, they call me every 3 weeks or so and double check all recent transactions. Most, if not all, of my transactions take place online, fraud haven. I love that service, but online banking is practically non-existent with this CU. I can check balances, deposits, withdrawals, but not actual credit card transactions, grr...

I have yet to have that problem. Not something I would want to deal with on a regular basis I would investigate that hard.

Mine doesn't... because I don't give it to waiters or waitresses.

Good for you, either do I. I only use it online.

How the hell did that happen? You must be using your card at some shady places or trusting it with shady people.

Credit cards are not being compromised at this time and everyone should erase the 1-800 number of the backs of their cards because it is no longer needed.

Thank you and Alah is Great!

Never happened on any of the cards.
They locked one once when I was abroad after I made the 1st transaction in that country. But a call cleared that up.
