Nevermind that they can still use 2257 to search people's houses or businesses legally and can use anything they find there later on.
And the injunction is only for 10 days with a possible extension if I heard correctly. Not sure what goes on after that.

Hmmm, no, its just a TRO, Temporary being the keyword here. If we're lucky to get it, it will just get us some more time to get our houses in order.

Why is it a joke?

My attorneys are telling me that if the injunction is granted then it can take up to 2 years before any thing can be enforced.

I agree. Temporary is the key word.

Sure, but they could come into anyone's place of business or homes at anytime and still make peoples lives miserable "taking notes".

It will never be business as usual "like it was" ever again - things have changed ... and injunction or not - some people are already out of business and have closed down their programs.

Sure, the business as a whole won't shut down, but it's now business under regulations that they WANT TO ENFORCE!

... and don't be mistaken - there are way too many people that STILL aren't compliant under the old regs.

Sheesh Jonathan! Are you saying.. (I've never checked this aspect cos the law is irrelevant in juridisdictions where we operate), - that officials can come uninvitied into a home - ie without a search warrant???

If so... na, na, na, na, na - that ain't a game I'd be chosing to play - I'd be walking with my feet to more favorable locations!! :-)

I am banking on TRo then it being discarded in its current version.

I am sure it will be revised.
2-3 more years... It will be back.
