Is anyone here an SSL expert?

I purchased (and tried to install via WHM) a SSL cert from ev1servers (AKA RackShack) which is provided through freessl.com, which I believe has something to do with geotrust.

Anyways, when I go to install the starter SSL, the WHM submit button is greyed out half the time, when I want to submit!

When I finally get something to submit, my browser gives this error:

Could not verify certificate because issuer is not trusted.

The listed "issuer" is my site/company. I don't understand how I can change this to be what it should be (Geotrust?).

If anyone has any experience in this field, I woud be grealy appreciative.

freessl.com... sounds like you just have a self-signed certificate and although your data will be encrypted it will not be verifyed as trusted by your browser.

actually fressl IS trusted by my browser
(you can try it here:
http://www.rapidssl.com/index_ssl.htm click the little earth logo, top right...)
goes to a secure page without an "untrusted" certificate warning...

But if the client checks the validity, he will see the site as secured.

I had installed for a client a SSL bought thru EV1 . I had many " date range" problem for most of the year.
It was up for renewal last week or so, and I took a godaddy one ( 19.99 / year ). Worked and got installed thru WHM in a few minutes! Just follow instructions to the letter.

The URL gives warnings to my browser. The EV1 (freessl/geotrust) ones shouldn't do that.

Yours is issued through the right people (Starfield) though, mine is issued from my own domain, some how. I am not sure how this happened.
