The Hotel bar service in San Diego was horrid.

I do not understand how they stay in business. It was without question the worst service (consistently) I have ever experienced.

Food took over two hours. Wrong food arrived. Was given our food which was cold. Drink orders were hardly accepted.

The bartenders were chaotic and could not do more than one thing at a time.

I called using my cell phone from the patio and complained on behalf of the entire Jettis staff.

The hotel was beautiful, but managment from top to bottom was a JOKE. I've gotten better service at Walmart and McDonalds.

about 10 of us sat out by the pool for 4-5 hours talking biz and bull ... it was mid day and no one even came over to see if we wanted anything .... we would have run up a $600 tab if they just asked .... in fact some people went into the bar and couldn't get anyone ..... they had to walk down to the gift shop to get a red bull ......... they lost a lot of money ...

Yep, the whole "we don't serve the gays" policy is a bit archaic. I agree with you.

no doubt... this guy was the worst bartender i've ever seen. easily.

He even WALKED SLOW. He took my order, and then left.. made like 3 drinks, and forgot about mine (all I wanted was a freaking Heinekin!)...

The *only* way to get his attention was to wave your hand in his face and be rude.. (which is how I wound up getting my drink)

*shrug* what can ya do.

Actually most people would have probably appreciated this kind of service, so tired of the sales people always bugging me asking if I want something. They should have bells on the table or something that customers could ring.

Dude, the worst I have ever seen.
How do they stay in business is right. I waited for 30 minutes for two drinks, watching the guy make all kinds of wrong drinks, and there was nobody at the bar. I thought I was getting punked. The food, the service, the bartenders.

Damn, how do they survive like that. Crazy!

this is why Vegas shows are so great...this city was built on service...oh sure there are instances of problems, but overall it's generally golden service....I'm spoiled from living here so become a bit edgy when visiting other cities and not getting that level of service...

I agree. I've been here 4 and it still gets under my skin. The funniest thing is there's so much to do in SoCal, how can people possibly have the time to be slow?

Pick up the pace people!

Society is the problem. I want to live in a world where bartenders are on the same level as doctors and lawyers. Only then will the profession attract the quality talent it deserves.

I think that some of that comes from being a usually slow bar. Then all of your guys come in town, and BAM they get lost in the mix.

I agree. Totally uncanny. It was dead when we were in there and the bartender was stressed out of his mind.

If you watched them, they could only deal with one order at a time.

SD may be slow, but certainly not that slow. I am from the south, they move slow.

food was mediocre, and the service wasn't anything to write home to mom about.

I also had a problem with a package I shipped FedEx express, addressed to me as a guest at the Shelter Point Hotel. I called Fed Ex to see where it was and why I hadn't gotten it. Come to find out, it was deliverd on Mon AM, and it sat in the hotel shipping and receiving dept for a day and a half.

We had a good time regardless of the staff there....

Late

..............agreed, it still rocked regardless, the second day after missing breakfast twice, i ordered the night before to get it right the next two days. The set up was sweet, but the service was lacking. What I was thinking to myself was, just how much money they could have really made if they were on top of everything?

Great show....had a great time seeing eveyone!............hotel could not get me down no matter how hard they tried or how retarded they were!

They were very slow even with the backstage room, only a few people to serve, just took them forever to come back with more drinks.

But on a positive note, the layout of the pool area and lawn was very nice.

I totally agree. The layout of the hotel was excellent for what we needed. They just need to populate their landscape with better people.

My favorite part was when I went to order 3 drinks from the bartender inside, he had to get a pen and paper to write 3 drinks down....then tells me it was his first day... would have felt some sympathy for the guy but he served us the day before!! I was cracking up.

that same guy served and used that line on me! and yup, gotta put in my two cents, terrible service at the restaurant there - AJ's...we had to have the maitre d' take our order after waiting at our table for 20 minutes...it only got worse from there...
