Somewhere in the middle, as in most things, lie the truth.
It is somewhat of a nutjob theory to suggest that the US government was involved in planning and executing an attack on the WTC and Pentagon. Whats not outlandish to suspect is that the US Government new about the attacks before hand and did nothing to stop it. Using the attack as a catalyst for war with Iraq.
Bush, his administration, his donors and his family are oil men. They have made their fortune with oil, they continue to make their money with oil. They have gone into Iraq and freezed the oil fields. No oil out of Iraq creates a larger demand for oil and decreases the supply, thus increasing the price per barrel. Who profits from this? People in the oil business. (Bush, Saudies etc etc) It is not a coincidence that the price of oil went up, decreased during the election, and now continues to rise.
This is not a conspiracy theory. This is just a statement of what has happened. When you have a president and an administration that profits so heavily from a war, one might view that as a conflict of interest.
