Designers:

a) How do you handle clients that want design + domain + hosting?

b) Is it common practice to find and register a clients domain for them? If yes, how much do you charge for this?

a)Create the design, recommend a registrar and a host. If you have many that request this, you can cut a deal with a certain host to give your clients a discount, in return for sending more their way. They win, you win, your clients win.

b)Never heard of this happening. If they want you to help them find a domain name, simply give them suggestions and point them to a registrar to buy it themselves.

i had some clients that want to know where to host. but never had some one ask me to buy them a domain. this sounds more like a turnkey site service.

Doesn't change the situation. Write down a small tutorial for regging domain names with your favourite registrar, plus some tips on getting hosting. Every time they ask you for this service, point them to that page. Will save you a lot of time and headache.

I am very interested in a Designer/Host Partnership. What are some common price breaks hosts give to designers that refer clients?

Give me figures, please.

How about I also go out amd make the deals for you, would you like that?

There's no set rule. Talk to different hosts you'd consider recommending. Depending on the amount of business you can refer to them, each will give you different deals. Pick the one that suits you the best, simple as that.

a) Never encountered a client who asks for all 3.
Design - possible , Domain + Hosting - not possible.

b) Never met one.
