Hey Duke!

While I dont agree with giving out models ID's I do totally respect the hoops you will jump through to make sure you are giving them only to responsible affiliates. I know its a tough desicion and I do respect the time and care you took in making yours.

For what its worth, I think you did the right thing based on your hardcore business model.

Thats a good question.
I have two first ammendant attornies that i use. Both have different takes on it. In all honesty, i feel more comfortable giving out sanataized docs but keeping the originals myself.

You made a good decision Duke. I know that you will do what you can to protect the models as much as you can. You aren't a heartless sleazeball that some others make you out to be. You're an intelligent businessman who has had to make some tough choices. You're not to blame for the Gov't and it's ridiculous ammendments to the law. You're just simply abiding by the law.

There's been quite a few people who are good at telling others to "Stand up and fight back!". It's real easy for them to say considering it is not their own business and them personally who could suffer until the case is done playing out in court. Do these people have the financial resources to survive through years of court battles? Are they that confident in the laws that they are willing to take the chance of possible jail time for some violation in case the courts would not rule in their favor?

You're not a martyr and these people should not expect or demand that you become one.

Asshole... going to court is not the big deal, Going to jail for 5 years is.
If you are such a fuckin genious, put the next five years of YOUR life on the table or shut the fuck up. Why should Duke risk doing time to save you or anyone else. Heres an idea , dont follow the new laws and call yourself in and enjoy the publicity. Idiot.

first & foremost, you don't go to jail until you are convicted. you can't be convicted if you have done nothing WRONG. it's not about fighting for others, fight for yourself... giving out these documents threatens the integrity of your business with those whom you make your money FROM (the models).

& btw, duke... i'm not trying to tell you how to run your business. you are obviously going to do what you want, BUT the fact is you are running scared. its that simple... you are not alone, others are too but that's the truth.

me personally? no... i'm not giving out shit & i don't have to because i don't run a program that requires people to use hardcore material to advertise. am i standing on the sidelines? no... because i do run a links directory that advertises using banners that include explicit images. am i taking them down? fuck no.... why? cuz its bullshit for them to try to say i need to have access to those sensitive documents to use the images for advertising ONLY.
