I was wondering. Since I don't have a copy machine in my house to copy ID's, I just take a digital photograph of them and upload them to my server. For example:

So if I needed a hard copy, all I would have to do is go to the page where I have this uploaded, hit "print" and then I have a hard copy...right?

So what's wrong with having a url with the unnecessary details omitted and available for any affiliate to go to and print out his own "hard copies"? Wouldn't that alleviate the need to have physical documents on premises since all the webmaster would need is a printer to create a hard copy in his own location if he is challenged by law enforcement?

Even though he may hot have the actual documents on hand, access to them online and a printer should solve the problem shouldn't it?

Even if the person didn't have a printer, all they would need is online access and the url for that particular girl's ID and they could just show it to the officer on his computer screen? Wouldn't this be fucking feasible?

You are supposed to have the documents, along with a copy of the depiction, along with all urls the content is located on, cross referenced by model's stage name, real name, etc etc etc.

Telling Johnny Law "oh hang on its on someone else's server let me go print it" isn't going to fly.

What if their connection is fucked up? What if your server is down? There are many problems with this "solution"

You're right about that server shit...

But with url's, the affiliate would have his own url's that he had the content on so that wouldn't be an issue. And with the "cross referencing" thing, say somebody comes to you and asks, How old is "Stankin Stephanie"? Then the person would go to the sponsor page with all of the stage names, click on that stage name and there is the ID.

But all of that would be worth nothing if my server went down....Damn another idea down the drain.

Yeah, but really, ANY digital storage solution is privvy to technical difficulties...I have a whole disc of BJ content I shot in orlando that for some reason, won't read...what if that happened to your digital files holding all your docs and records? Just have a back-up or two is all.

That will work, but for the example I see that's not comliant. The only way you are allowed to block out the addy is if you have it notorized

Yeah I blocked out the last name and addy just to make that sample picture...The address would be viewable otherwise.

The way Im doing it is I will have a computer in my office that will only be for 2257 nothing else on it. Not thrilled about buying a brand new computer for this but I think its the best way. Also the reocrds will be backed up on 3 others computers in case of failure. I also have my original 2257 on hardcopy that will still availible.

Don't get me wrong, digital records are allowed....but if you're going to allow your affiliates to use your content then you need to provide them with the ID's and let them do whatever their attorneys tell them to do in order to be compliant.

We have an online database that is exported to a spreadsheet whenever changes are made. The online database also has copies of ID's and releases and whatnot.

We also have paper copies of all id's and releases in a file cabinet, along with "copies of the depictions" stored in digital format. (you can't exactly print a video....LOL)

So we have records on a server, an external hard drive, and paper copies also.

Your idea about letting the affiliates download the ID's isn't a bad one, but they need to download it BEFORE they publish the content, not when Johnny Law is looking over their shoulder.

Digital storage is ok, but it has to be onsite. You could store the images on a remote server for backup, but you still have to have a copy stored at the physical address of your operation.

In the comments on 2257 it stated you could keep either hard copies or digital. They just have to be easily accessible at your place of business.

They Are! We have a Computer dedicated to just 2257 records of our Models, and soon to be anyone we promote that hands over the records.

I would not suggest Uploading it to a server, for many reasons, but an Inhouse computer, with Backup, and we also have Models ID's and releases hardcopy filed on paper...

I don't see whats wrong with remote backups if you're using proper encryption (AES), what happens if your office or whatever catches on fire?
