So I decided to go back to school..

..assuming I can get loans, which is questionable due to my complete idiocy the last time I was in college.

I *think* I've decided on International Academy of Design & Technology - Tampa; going for a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Design.

http://academy.edu/marketing_design.asp

Comments or suggestions? It's been a long fucking time since I was in school, lol.

Marketing degrees are a dime a dozen.

I thought it would be easier to pick a course of study when I was older...but the truth is I have less of an idea what exactly I want to do, long term, now, than I did then.

And then there's the fact that I'll have to balance working, school, and my home and family (3 kids) by myself. Pretty scary. I kinda wish my pops would, for the first time in my whole life, give me a hand, with tuition, but I guess it's better I don't owe him, of all people, anything.

If I were going to spend the time and money as an adult to go to school for the first time, I'd pick something more specialized, that I would have guaranteed employment waiting for me. Nurse, teacher, anything health related, court reporter, paralegal, social worker, maybe something in tech, or even a "trade". I know tons of people with marketing degrees and almost all of them work jobs that don't necessarily require one. Generic stuff like history, psychology, etc. don't really set you up for employment once you're through. If you just want to say you have a degree, then that's cool, but if you want to work you better choose a field that is in demand.

I understand the point you're making, but I'm already scraping byeven with the limited knowledge I have now...I don't want to go back into the workforce. I thought about the legal field, but I just think I will be the most satisfied working for myself, in whatever capacity. But I am fully aware that I have a TON to learn , and I don't see any adult industry powerhouses taking understudies or I'd be right up their asses like a cute chubby butt-plug, haha.
