If I were going to spend the time and money as an adult to go to school for the first time, I'd pick something more specialized, that I would have guaranteed employment waiting for me. Nurse, teacher, anything health related, court reporter, paralegal, social worker, maybe something in tech, or even a "trade". I know tons of people with marketing degrees and almost all of them work jobs that don't necessarily require one. Generic stuff like history, psychology, etc. don't really set you up for employment once you're through. If you just want to say you have a degree, then that's cool, but if you want to work you better choose a field that is in demand.
