OK, I can't believe what some people are saying:

Even if you have only content that is 2257 exempt, these people are saying that you STILL need to have the 2257 records. I say bollocks. Who is right?

If the content is exempt, you do not have to follow the regulations. However, if you are running a porn site, it would be best to have some documentation from your content providers to show that your models are over 18.

If you have content that is "Exempt" because of date of production, and you're not the primary producer, you need a notarized letter from the primary producer stating that it is exempt.

So, in a way, yes, you still need to have records.

Isn't this concept pretty obvious? The law only applies to certain types of content.

So if you are the primary AND secondary producers, (and the comments clearly state one can be both-not that just the primary rules apply), do you have to keep your own notarized statement of exemption?

2257 in itself is a record keeping section of the law. If 2257 does not apply to the content your using.................................... finish this statement yourself people.
