I like it, and would love to see it catch on.

Generally speaking... It's only a matter of time before all the free porn makes it nigh impossible to make any money... and once that happens, even that will go away. So in the long run, the free porn will die.. but personally, I'd rather see us work on a stable overall business model, instead of waiting for that.

More specifically... Anything that reduces the amount of free content, but still gives people enough to see to drive traffic around and create sales, sounds great to me. The greyed thumbs are a nice compromise.

Problems... Too many thumbs. The amount of images is overwhelming. It makes what you actually see look much less impressive. I would set a limit on the range of number of images, and number of thumbs.

So, continuing that line of thought... what would you say are the complete specs of a "TGP3" gallery?

Provided that the gallery actually has the required number of clickable images to be accepted to a particular TGP, I see why not tease the visitor a bit more with the shit he has to pay for to get. Not a bad idea at all.

What I would change is make member area thumbs color and free ones black-and-white. This way the fuckers will keep clicking on the juicy color ones.

Believe what you want, but there is such a thing as suppply and demand.

YOU CAN NOT CONTROL the supply - no matter what you think. you might get some people here and there - but you can do that with a circle jerk site as well. If people don't like it - they will go somewhere else.

Free Porn is here to stay.

Why people go with TGPs WHEN THEY DON'T want to give away free porn - I will never know.

You are much better off with free sites - you won't go into debt for your bandwidth - and you will make a profit.

TRAFFIC does not equal money - especially when some of that traffic is hitbot traffic and a good deal is foreign.

I have a better idea :

TGP 4 - Only thumbnails. I only want to show them what to expect inside. They want the fucking pictures, pay for them asshole.

Oh wait. I am alone with this idea. Everybody thinks it's great, but nobody will accept this kind of gallery.

Oh well, I'll wait until august 2003 and propose something else..

the galleries cant do anthign but help the situation. Porn has and always been an impulse buy.If the surfer sees something they like,they buy so if they like the images they buy. WHo gives a fuck about if the stupid surfer goes to another TGP because lets face it,a lost surfer is likely gone forever.

More thong and tit pics cant do anything but help the biz and keep unecessary traffic suckers down. Its just simply another way of filtering traffic. Im sure it will work

it definitely wouldnt hurt any of the smaller TGP's to do this since they dont have much to lose. Why wait for the big boys to convert when the minority can trade traffic within the pool? Think about it...once the glories of the conversions start sprouting some may convert and some wont. Personally I wouldnt want to wait around to make any money

This is actually a pretty damn *creative* approach to a solution, rather than the "how many pics should we show" debate. I like it!

I do, however, think that there are too many pics on the galleries - it is a bit overwhelming and think of your 'average' surfer who gets confused just turning on his monitor.

Also one of my biggees is NO HARDCORE - you've kept pretty close to that but in gallery 3 you've got a full-sized pic of the girl with the guy's dick stuffed all the way down her throat.

The idea proposed recently about putting hardcore TGP galleries behind an AVS system is also a good one, and I've seen a few people mention in chat rooms and such that they're doing this and it's working very well for them.
Also can't help with the law coming down the pike... eventually all of the hardcore is going to get the majority of the TGPs shut down but if we wait for that we'll all be broke.

Because the grayed thumbs go to the signup page ?? What about if the grayed out thumbs were linkless ?? We have a couple of customers that run paysites like that, they show the whole site on the front, but to get to the pic's or the actual movies you have to be a member. It seems to help with retention and signups, customer can never say they didn't know what was in the members area

No main stream TGP with any decent amount of traffic is going to accept a gallery thumb linked to a signup page. Pichunter's site is based on trades with mainstream TGPs (me included) and I'm not supporting this concept. If Pichunter goes with this, our trade is done, no big deal to him, I'm sure, but thats how I look at it.

I don't like unlinked thumbs either, its to easy to hotlink them after they have been posted.

Best thing to do is to have your own tgp site/sites with decent traffic, and list tons of your own galleries, with however many thumbs you want, pics on html pages, thumbs wrapped around a fpa, big pics linked to the sponsor ...etc I already see a lot of pretty big tgp's listing only hosted galleries and all their own shit...

Ofcourse we don't want everyone and their mom starting a tgp now ... there's already to many out there

I have to say I disagree with just about everyone's opinion that feels that "It Will never Change". A change doesnt mean a complete do away with all free porn approach... It could mean a lot of things, and as with any business (which BTW this is). this Business can change ina heartbeat. For instance, let's imagine... (work with me on this it's deep

---> On tuesday, there were no pay site sales, none, anywhere in the world, than it happend again all the way through the following Tuesday, trust me, shit would change, people might start removing paid ad's, ect. Things would scramble, and you can bet that "It will never change" will quickly become, "Holy shit did you see how fadst everything changed".

As for Petr's idea, Ill give him the props on the creativity, however im not sure im all about posting galleries with full sets, and a huge % of them linked right to the join page, think of some sponsors out there with 900 consoles on the main page of the tour, that would most certainly piss a surfer off, I like the idea, but I think the gameplan needs to be worked on a bit in order to make that type of gallery acceptable in any fashion, anywhere.

The August blues should be over here shortly, so im sure that posts like this will come to an end. However I will still make some internal changes on the galleries I list as well as the galleries I create for my own sites. I have tested some variations of the above out (minus the link to the sponsor), and it hasnt hurt traffic at all on my site. And yes it did increase the signups a bit (small scale because it was a small scale test.)

I just want to thank you all for your input. I am going to stick with my plan, and I will make money on this, and I don't doubt this. I will let you all know how it goes, if my idea gets profitable, I hope you will join me, because honestly, I think there is fuckload of free porn, and I am starting to notice the difference in my income. Eventually I will use pichunter as a traffic feeder, I will keep it the way it is now, until my TGP3 idea becomes more profitable than pichunter. Than I willl turn pichunter into the same things as sweet momma ( the galleries listed above).

I know for sure hun.com and other big TGPs won't change, because it is a risk to their income. I am a risky person, and I am willling to take the rist. I will lose traffic, probably 50% of it, but I am sure i will make 1000% more profit than I was maknig up till today.

Shemp, bro, you've been around for much longer than me, you know your stuff much better than me. We all will start loosing money, until there will be only couple TGPs - the strongest ones that will survive. Than circle will start again - you know all of that - demand vs supply thing.

I just don't want this to happen. I am scared of it. This is all I have, and I don't want to loose it. I could keep my idea for myself, and I don't doubt I'd make money on it. But I WANT to share it, because I want things to change. I am seriously PISSED about all the freeloaders, every night of my life I think about ways of making cash from these fuckers, they piss me off.

Anyhow, I am fucking drunk at the moment, I probably wrote shitload of stupid shit right now, but all I know for sure is that things DO need to change. I beg everyone to at least thing about it, and come up with new ideas. I hate regular Joe spanking his cock using my bandwith.

Its 4 am here Labor Day Weekend, and I am sitting here in front of my pc and just did last month accounting. I am not happy, but I have had paysites for 6 years now, and trust me when I tell you. That's all I do.

Sit here trying to figure out a way to increase my money. I am stuck.

I have a really tiny tgp, basically for my surfers, members, and other amateur webmasters. It works good for me. I don't trade traffic and most will not even give me a look for my miesly 15k uniques per day.

But I do get my share of signups. So tonight I ran thru 2 galleries with that tgp3 flavor on it.

I know a lot of the smaller sites will take me, lots of amateurs like me with little traffic just basically generated from their own sweat and blood. Because we will never be able to trade with guys lik pichunter, shemp et al.

We are nobody for you guys.

When I first started to submit to you all (hun etc) 1997 there were no such things as galleries by sponsors, fuck there were only a handful sponsors. lol

Some no large, huge gallery owners used to email me and another friend and asked to submit to their galleries. And so we did. Now we don't even make it to their approve box.

Maybe I missed the boat somewhere. While having a good time partying, maybe I missed building a tgp or working a partner program out like ARS.

You think its frustrating for you big tgp owners? pffff. You don't know what frustrating is.

I like it! I do, however, think that there are too many pics on the galleries - it is a bit overwhelming and think of your 'average' surfer who gets confused just turning on his monitor. Also one of my biggees is NO HARDCORE - you've kept pretty close to that but in gallery 3 you've got a full-sized pic of the girl with the guy's dick stuffed all the way down her throat. The idea proposed recently about putting hardcore TGP galleries behind an AVS system is also a good one, and I've seen a few people mention in chat rooms and such that they're doing this and it's working very well for them. Also can't help with the law coming down the pike... eventually all of the hardcore is going to get the majority of the TGPs shut down but if we wait for that we'll all be broke.

Pichunter's site is based on trades with mainstream TGPs (me included) and I'm not supporting this concept. If Pichunter goes with this, our trade is done, no big deal to him, I'm sure, but thats how I look at it. phogirl69 Confirmed User Join Date: Jul 2001 Posts: 3,330	Best thing to do is to have your own tgp site/sites with decent traffic, and list tons of your own galleries, with however many thumbs you want, pics on html pages, thumbs wrapped around a fpa, big pics linked to the sponsor ...etc I already see a lot of pretty big tgp's listing only hosted galleries and all their own shit... Ofcourse we don't want everyone and their mom starting a tgp now ... there's already to many out there Death to all Tgp's!

I have to say I disagree with just about everyone's opinion that feels that "It Will never Change". A change doesnt mean a complete do away with all free porn approach... It could mean a lot of things, and as with any business (which BTW this is). this Business can change ina heartbeat. For instance, let's imagine... (work with me on this it's deep ---> On tuesday, there were no pay site sales, none, anywhere in the world, than it happend again all the way through the following Tuesday, trust me, shit would change, people might start removing paid ad's, ect. Things would scramble, and you can bet that "It will never change" will quickly become, "Holy shit did you see how fadst everything changed". As for Petr's idea, Ill give him the props on the creativity, however im not sure im all about posting galleries with full sets, and a huge % of them linked right to the join page, think of some sponsors out there with 900 consoles on the main page of the tour, that would most certainly piss a surfer off, I like the idea, but I think the gameplan needs to be worked on a bit in order to make that type of gallery acceptable in any fashion, anywhere. The August blues should be over here shortly, so im sure that posts like this will come to an end. However I will still make some internal changes on the galleries I list as well as the galleries I create for my own sites. I have tested some variations of the above out (minus the link to the sponsor), and it hasnt hurt traffic at all on my site. I am going to stick with my plan, and I will make money on this, and I don't doubt this. I will let you all know how it goes, if my idea gets profitable, I hope you will join me, because honestly, I think there is fuckload of free porn, and I am starting to notice the difference in my income. Eventually I will use pichunter as a traffic feeder, I will keep it the way it is now, until my TGP3 idea becomes more profitable than pichunter. Than I willl turn pichunter into the same things as sweet momma ( the galleries listed above). I know for sure hun.com and other big TGPs won't change, because it is a risk to their income. I am a risky person, and I am willling to take the rist. I am not happy, but I have had paysites for 6 years now, and trust me when I tell you. That's all I do. Sit here trying to figure out a way to increase my money. I am stuck. I have a really tiny tgp, basically for my surfers, members, and other amateur webmasters. It works good for me. I don't trade traffic and most will not even give me a look for my miesly 15k uniques per day. But I do get my share of signups. So tonight I ran thru 2 galleries with that tgp3 flavor on it. I know a lot of the smaller sites will take me, lots of amateurs like me with little traffic just basically generated from their own sweat and blood. Because we will never be able to trade with guys lik pichunter, shemp et al. We are nobody for you guys. When I first started to submit to you all (hun etc) 1997 there were no such things as galleries by sponsors, fuck there were only a handful sponsors. lol Some no large, huge gallery owners used to email me and another friend and asked to submit to their galleries. And so we did. Now we don't even make it to their approve box. Maybe I missed the boat somewhere. While having a good time partying, maybe I missed building a tgp or working a partner program out like ARS. You think its frustrating for you big tgp owners? pffff. You don't know what frustrating is. 2 million amateurs competing with you Every other Amateur is out there to destroy you, (Fucking trust me on that one) Cliques everywhere! Maybe its early, maybe I had to much to drink tonight. Maybe its because its a holiday weekend and I update paysites and run galleries thru RS hoping to make a sale. I don't know where this tgp3 will go. I like it. Maybe the surfers will buy more from us poo folks who submit to you all. Why would that be so bad? I don't think you should link to the join page.
