I'm on a farm, which is where i can get the mille range. The wood is used on the front of a tractor to chase bulls when they charge at the tractor. And as above Tractor, ever think a tractor can move such a heacy piece of wood , fucking easily. ![]() |

The chances of killing a duck without a head shot at 100 feet with a .22 are not very good. You and I both know that. A rabbit is a lot more tender than a duck, too. |

Liv and I both have carry permits. We're in Memphis and this isn't the safest place to be walking around...so a few years ago we took shooting classes and got our CCW permits.
I feel safe knowing we can both defend ourselves if we need to, both at home or if we're out. I would recommend a Glock 26, it's a 9mm which is the smallest caliber you should be using for protection and even than I would make sure your using hollow point ammo. The Glock 26 is also known as a mini Glock, it's very small and perfect for females and the only gun I've ever shot with that's small but doesn't have too much kick when firing. I am a huge advocate of the 2nd Amendment and the right to defend ourselves. I myself am a parapalegic and have been for over 20 years, my wife is a tiny petite little thing and neither one of us could defend ourselves if something happened, until we got our permits! I would never, ever recommend getting a gun without first going to a shooting range and taking some gun safety courses. Even if you think you know how to handle a firearm, you'll learn some very good stuff. And if you ever have to defend yourself, it also shows that you are responsible and trained ![]() |

get a taurus titanium revolver. Taurus is a very trusted brand, the titanium frame of the pistol makes it lightweight easy to carry concealed, and a revolver is a good security gun. No fuss, just pull the trigger (safety off of course) no need for chambering a round.
If I were buying a gun for my wife thats the gun I would choose. ![]() |

I know what i did, i have 3 friends who saw me do it and 1 other guy did it also. I have e-mail address if you want their view. |

I'm defensive because your calling me a liar, fair enough if i was lying i'd run away and hide, i'd own up, but as i did hit the target i'm not backing down to anything and don't see how i can be called a liar by someone who doesn't know me and doesn't know how long i've been shooting. |

I have a 38 special that I keep in the car and a 22 rifle next to the bed (I live by myself out in the middle of no where so yes, I want a gun for protection!).
I have a carry permit but I'm looking for something a lot lighter to carry around than the 38. |

a .22 bullet will travel a mile... but you aint hittin shit you aim at at that distance. a .357 mag is probably the best all around pistol in my opinion... I have a S&W 686s with 8 3/8" barrells.. (too big to carry concealed.. I know) both worked by John French both very very smooth triggered and very very accurate 12oz soda cans at 100 yards with bare sights are easily achieved. bullet can travel 1.5 miles I have a Browning Semi Auto Rifle that shoots 7MM Remmington Magnums. Leupold Gold Line Scope. 4 x 12 (and yes.. you can get a Browning Gun that Shoots 7MM Remmington Mags) - This round has an incredible speed or travel rate and has the best flat trajectory of any weapon that Ive ever shot. Great Knock down power - almost twice that of a 30/06 (and its a smaller dia slug) This bullet has a muzzle velocity near 3000 fps which mean 3/4 mile per second Ive had this gun since I was a teen (over 25 yrs) and have filled many a Dear Tag in Cali, AZ, Utah, Colorado with this weapon - Also a couple of Elk and a pair of Bear with this gun. I dont think I have 200 rounds through the gun. I get it out before hunting season.. usually shoot 5 shots through the gun for siteing and then 1 shot for each Hunting Tag. Again, sounds like Aaron knows his stuff with ballistics. quit blowing smoke Sparky.. Big B CECash.com

I have a .38 special, too. The weight doesn't bother me. I always leave it in the car unless I'm somewhere that I really feel like I need to take it in, but even then it doesn't seem all that heavy to me. Mine is a Charter Arms, off duty revolver. It looks like this, except it has a soft, black handle instead of wood.

If you're going to go with a revolver I recommend the Ruger GP100.
Revolvers are more dependable because if the bullet doesn't fire you just pull the trigger again until one does. Anyone that shoots often knows that bullets do not always fire, and if it's a life or death situation I'd want the fucking weapon to work. BTW average gun confrontation has 3 shots fired - (from both people combined) revolver hold 5-6 rounds. MY father has had his gp100 for 12 years now I think, I've dropped it out of a moving truck, a 38 ft deer stand and I've put the shittiest reloads in it. It still works like it were brand new. For trigger pulls you can't work on it like you can a S& W For hunting I love my marlin 336 SS 30- 30 is by far the most popular round for hunting the past 100 years and shit I don't need anythign that shoots more than 200 yrds in fl. For flat trajectory I love the .243 and I take deer with it all the time. If you're going for a auto handgun I recommend the beretta 92 or 96 or the COlt 1911 if both are good enough for our military both are fine for me. |
