What do you consider to be the optimum size for pics used with hosted galleries and promo content for affiliates.

640x480 - Just big enough for the surfer to see what type of content is offerred.

720x540 - Plenty big enough, if they want the good stuff let them join the site.

800x600 - Give them as close to what they'll be getting in the members area as possible.

800x600. Galleries make a "first impression", if they see dinky little pics there, they probably think that's what is to be expected of the site.

at least 800x600

all ours are 1000x750

If I want it any smaller, I have a script to do so. If I want it bigger than 640x480, I can't increase the size without losing quality. The way I see it, give me the good stuff, and I'll go from there.
