Thumb site owners (whatcha yea gonna do)
No matter if you are a thumb TGP or a Blog whom posts thumbnail previews as part of your posts. It's clear the 2257 is going to be a hassle even if it doesn't ultimately stand up in court, we will still have to comply for the time being. Top it off with it's now down to roughly 23 days to comply and I still haven't seen much come out of the sponsors that will allow us as affiliates the ability to comply. I'm guessing we will see lots of sponsors posting on the boards at the last min, saying they are now ready. Whic would leave us affiliates screwed at the last min, giving us almost no time to get all the records together.
So what are you going to do in order to comply with these new rules? Switch to text sites? No explicit thumbs? Run to Nicaragua and drink margaritas with Juicy? Turn in your application to Micky D's? Or do you have something else planned? I personally don't mind text, it's great IMO and I'm personally working more on SEO stuff these days anyway, so text will be fine by me. The only problems I really see is it could be devastating to your traded traffic, switching a thumb TGP to text. It's almost a given that a good portion of your trades might not survive the switch. So I'm just wondering what some of my fellow thumb site owners are thinking and what is your plan of attack? Personally I'm going to be switching to text but I'm going to have to have limited amounts of thumbs, as I can't see any way around it in order to keep some of the trades going. So the thumbs I do keep will be mostly all facial images cropped from non sexually explicit images. Overall I see this as a blessing in disguise and I think in the long run conversions will go up, however I do think there will be a short term hit for the worse. So what are you planning to do?

At least if you change to a text TGP with FHG only links, you don't need to worry about complex and expensive thumb rotating scripts like Smart Thumbs or Tmanager and high quality thumbs for your production to stay high. Just any piece of shit script can rotate text links. You can then spend the $$$ on excellent trade scripts....
Anyway he's a bump for you. |

The majority of non-US webmasters I've talked to who run thumb sites above 100k/day believe they don't need to switch to text or need 2257 docs and intend to stick with thumbs. Wouldn't they have a major advantage over US webmasters running text sites? Personally if I was a TGP surfer, I'd prefer thumb sites.

For now Im keeping my stuff as is. But that could change tomorrow. I would prefer to have softcore thumbs over text but text is ok too. So worse case, I switch em all to text.

so, if you have a double anal pic, and just crop the face out of it, it is still technically considered explicit... |

I'm not going to do anything nor let it change the way I do business until theres true clearifcation on what is expected. I highly doubt the sponsors that I promote will be sending out ids anyways and I hope for god sakes they dont. What a mess for everyone if they do.
Worst case I see is having to go to all softcare thumbs that match softcore gals. Which, all and all I think will be better for business and productivity. Time will tell I guess. ![]()
