That crew is greedy AND dumb. Mix that with scary power and their realization that AT LEAST 49% of the US people are on to their "game"..... and we are all in a precarious and fucked up situation right now...

It's certainly not just about oil. There's no question oil is a factor, but it's not the only one. A lot has to do with empire, American hegemony. These are countries whose governments don't do exactly what America wants them to do, countries whose governments don't let American corporations control the resources and labour situations... every weak country who fits that description is at risk of being invaded. Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti, Iran, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, Venezuela, many others. Iraq was a good prize because they kept China from getting that oil.
