First time traffic buy

I haven't bought traffic before, but after being here a couple of weeks it looks like a lot of you do, and that there are a few sellers of traffic here. I've followed some of the links but either haven't seen the kind of traffic I need or maybe I just don't know what the hell to look for.

I would like to look into purchasing traffic that would convert well on a cam or phone site. The traffic I think I need would be the real obscure stuff, specifically, trampling, stomping, crushing, giantess, perhaps bbw and doll porn.

As a first time buyer I'd like to start out with something small in terms of a purchase and see how it does and then go from there. What do those of you who broker and purchase traffic suggest in terms of a minimum first time buy and what kind of conversion should I see that would indicate that it would be worth it to stick with that broker?

Agree. Think about it: If traffic brokers could make sales off of their own traffic, they wouldn't need to broker it would they? Nope.

Everything else gets talked about on GFY in full light, TGPs, SEO, Domain buys, Adwords, etc, including results. Traffic brokering is the only subject that is kept in the shadows, you never hear much about it, and that's for a reason.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out, maybe we're all wrong, enlighten us with your results.

3 years ago, i bought 5.mill targetet hits from http://www.trafficcircuit.com/ for our datingsite --- It wasent the best quality, but we invested ~10k and made ~35k over a 6 month period.
I dont think its the same people running it now, so you have to try it first

oh, I see you have Juicy's recommendation for your traffic on your site. I'm going to try and get in touch with you this week for a discussion on what site I'd like to try this on.

Everyone else: great advice posted! I'm going to try to keep all of these things in mind and start out with something small and see how it works.

This isn`t strictly true.
I use some of the traffic from my networks for my own projects (I send traffic to FPA`s, fake TGP`s, feeding sites etc.) however the role of a traffic broker or provider (source) is really that of a sales person and to use large volumes of traffic effectively does take considerable time and when you are dealing in excess of 100,000 visitors every day (as I do) of different types of traffic (TGP feeder, clicked, spots etc.) then it is literally impossible to manage all of it on your own projects hence why it is offered for sale to clients.

This is absolutely true and I am sure if you spoke to most providers or brokers, they would agree with this.

While you make a good point the fact remains that "most" brokered traffic is absolute crap. At least in my experience. Looks like 2 people posted here that can help you out, I'd talk to them.

Agree Sexus, there are definitely some traffic-brokers that are capable of sending legitimate non-manipulated uniques to a target page that are on the level. The problem is finding the one solid broker for every twenty who are simply circle jerk resellers.

Glad to see Mike and Judas posting though, that's already better than most of the responses these threads get in terms of legitimacy for sure. Lets keep it going, there must be a few more brokers lurking that would like to have the biz, post publically and let the chips fall where they may.

Yes you are probably right, a large chunk of brokers are in fact resellers for one of the large networks (they are very easy to spot...these resellers often operate from an eBay type traffic selling site with a generic type login that they use which is direct from the supplier in question).

One of the best questions imo to anybody considering traffic purchases through a company that they are not familar with is to simply ask them where the traffic is from.

Most won`t be able to tell you. The good providers and there are plenty of them on this board that get praised daily obviously can.
