Thats the cool thing about holden, you can get 20 crappy hands and never play them and only lose the blinds a couple times... he said $10/$20 table.. so if you have 5 players, ever 5th hand you spent $30.. so if you get crappy streak of 20 straight bad hands you lost $120, not all your money... If you were playing BJ or roulette you could get 20 straight hands and lose everything. But remember with holden, most times you can fold a bad hand and it cost you nothing.

I like the logic, 9 out of 10 of you (including self) will play and play and play until you lose it all back. I can start with $100 and go up to $1,000 but eventually lose it back.. what happens? The more you win the longer you play, if you are not 100% disciplined chances are you will play more and more loose. Also, the more you get up the more "Chances" you take, which most of the time you lose because you start going against the odds.

I will try this out and let you guys know how i do. I love playing online but usually it takes up too much of my time and like i said in the end, 10 hours later, lol i am back to 0... so wasted 10 hours and made no money. I like this idea, i can play for anywhere from couple minutes to hour and make $100.. and to add to your startegy I would put a 1 hour time limit on it, if you less then $100 a head after 1 hour, stop no matter what.

well this doesnt apply to non tourneys, but when i play in tournament i find its best to just try an make your money back. if i pay $50 to get in a tourney for 50 people with 3 payouts, i just aim for 3rd or whatever place gets me atleast $50. i then work from there and try to increase it. ive came to table with barely any chips and been able to rally victories or profits just by trying to get last payout. let the big guys play agianst each other and just hang on till you get a hand.

Anyhow, it may work for me and not for you. Perhaps I'm luckier, perhaps I'm a better player, etc... However, if you do try it out, let me know how you do with it

I think the key here again, which I find the hardest to accept, is WHEN/HOW TO STOP. This thread is about how I have found a way to make decent money without the chance for major losses. You can criticize it all you like, but as long as its making me cash, I don't mind
Hey Various.. whats your icq? hit me up. I'll play I've been working 12+ hours a day I need a 10 - 60min release everyday this would be fun. I play party poker when i can and will try same logic and will report to you guys as well. if you want to start the thread i will add my results there/

the key to make money is sign up at a poker room that pays you 20% of the rake back that you play. lots of pokers rooms do this(not party poker). then just go play at the $3/$6 tables 4 hours a day. if you can just break out even in your play(not much risk at the $3/$6 table) you will get a check at the end of the month for $1,500 or so.

Exactly, hence why I said; "It's not all about odds."

I've never heard of that? You mean sign up as an affiliate, sign up under your link code, and then make 20% off of the sales? I think that'd violate their TOS....

NO, there are 20 or so rack back websites out there and they will pay you anywhere from 10% up to 27.5% rake back if you sign up under them. it's legal and lots of poker rooms accept it.

in fact most poker rooms are in the process of weeding out rake back schemes... I think absolute poker still allows rake back.
and I dont know a single affiliate program that would allow you to join under yourself... links plz ;)

absolute, ultimate bet, golden palace poker, gaming club, lots more. only party poker is stopping rakeback. all the competitors love it and it will not go away

Seems so...I don't gamble (I have no luck) some of my friends gamble and at the virtual tables they are on their cell phones doing three way calls so they don't loose...seems like easy money.

The only draw back is quitting while you are ahead. It is impossible.

That's the point. It is NOT impossible, it is simply HARD.

There is a huge difference

On that note, I just won a great hand playing few mins ago. I was only aiming for my $100 (I was up already about 85, so only needed 15 more), but had a great hand that people kept raising in, and ended up making $487.50 tonight in about 12 mins

I stopped immediately though and now will go watch tv...and not play again until 24 hours later
