Mac users - help with a wierd problem

When I close my ibook it supposed to go to standby, but for some reason it goes to standby, then while it is closed, it comes back to life...and it repeats this cycle consistantly...over and over....all while the lid is closed and latched

anyone have any ideas?

i checked anything I could find in the sys pref, and also checked the latch....couldn't notice anything

Ah, fuck it. I'm not gonna wait.

It's your iBook "snoring", the light going on and off is a feature, not a defect.

Well there is a magnetic strip on the latch that tells the computer to go to sleep. My guess is something isn't grounded correctly, or you have some shit on there that won't give it a good contact.
