Here's one of my favorites. It is a composite of 8-9 different pictures. Even the sky was not part of the original picture.

can you explain the effect of how you wrote yargh in the roof and made it look like it fit there? or know what i should search for when looking for a tutorial?

photoshopping and video editting are some things i'd like to start learning, since i can apply it to my site

Write text.
Control T (transform tool) it to the basic shape you need.
Decrease opacity a bit, and voila.

Having an endless supply of the heads with transparent backgrounds (using the lasso tool) helps too. I've got about three different files that I use. A blue background (#0000FF) makes it easy to use for future photochops.

I do all of this in FireworksMX, not Photoshop, I find I can work much faster in that. This main file is saved appropriately as "TheyGaveMeHead.png".
