He must be drunk/off his meds. He wouldn't have posted those personal things if he was level headed and didn't feel a huge injustice was done and he had to lash out and react to it, so you should judge him based on the circumstances a bit too.

too bad - I missed all this drama. Never talked to him or met him and still I liked AMP better then 99% of the people on this board. He seemed nuts in a truly brilliant & unique way. Reminds me of some friends I've had. But he had the same problem of going into self-destructo mode from the slightest thing.

Oh well, I'm sure he'll be back someday. He's in the eternally revolving cast of GFY characters.

I don't really know amp much - talked to him a few times on icq, was always cool to me. I respect him for serving in the army and he does pretty good work online you know.. If he is really bi-polar or whatever I can "feel" that mano. Mom had it all of our lives and I would probably bet a pretty penney that I have some of that too.. Not an excuse for Amp you know, he's a big boy and is responsabile for his words, actions.

on to the subject at hand....a lot of us (me included) have a lot of issues and some of us even have subscriptions, but we also deal with the consequences of our actions...my past actions have cost me a couple friendships and some business and similar issues of AMP's have caused Jason and Alex business (I like both of them and think they run a great program, but they have an employee that is costing them business.) Do you think TheDoc would put up with me doing things that would cost the company business? There are several times I've wanted to lay into someone but knew it could cause harm to the company, so I let it go...so why should AMP or anyone else be given a pass? If someone wants to lash out on a messageboard, they should be man enough to deal with the consequences of their actions....it's something we all have to do when we grow up.

Sometimes it helps to associate a pic (banana) to the boardname, at least it does for me. That's why I started the Banana Pages, it'll be helpful when wandering around the various conventions. At least if everybody is doing the "dance" when I see them, I'll actually know who they are without reading their nametags!!!

Funny thing is, there was no death threat at all. Amp is just getting all emotional and twisted up about it. He's trying to prove something and I don't even know if I want to know what it is he wants to prove. The jist of Amp's attitude towards Lens is that he feels slighted by him for some reason. It's apparent in his posts towards Lensman.

Personally I think he's pissed at himself for leaving adult.com and can;t take the blame upon himself.
