Inspired by Rich the shit talker: How many of you live in a house worth over 2 mil

let's get a head count. I'm just curious. Since Rich seems to think his cock is made of gold.

You own and live a house worth over 2 mil.... shout.

Everyone with a 2 bedroom rancher in Hawaii's belly is worth 2 mill right?

Same thing with LA & hollyw00d

Down south you can own a plantation for that much

It's all relative. A $2 mil house in SF isn't much. A $2 million house where I live gets you a house the size of small Wal-mart and 500 acres of land.

I lived in a $6 million mansion for a short time. There's a lot of difference between "living in" and "owning/buying".

I'm seeing alot of justifications.... but no one saying "Yes! I live in a 2 mil + house!"

Yet you didn't say that you OWN a 2 million dollar house. So what's the deal? Either:

1. Someone wealthy lets you stay with them for free

or

2. Inheritance.

Because there is no way on earth an adult website designer who is exclusive to J&A makes a salary big enough to pay the mortgage on $2 million.

Because I don't. Once again it's relative. A $100K house where I live on a half acre of land would probally cost $2 mil in some places. A $2 mil house where I live would cost $10-$20 mil or more in some places.

Is a $2 million house in Hawaii somehow worth less than a $2 million house in South Dakota? Haha, some of these responses are pretty funny.

you'd be hard pressed to find a $2 mil house in South Dakota. My guess is they don't exist.

Yes, I know. The house I'm living in would sell right now for $450k probably. I could go back to my hometown and buy a mansion with several acres for that.

That still doesn't change the fact that my rent is about 3 times my dads mortgage. And it doesn't change the fact that you live in a $2 million house. A $2 million house is still worth $2 million.

I just thought it was funny to see people saying "yeh but you live in Hawaii".

I think you are missing the point, its the size of property and home you can get for the money in different places that varies. In a lot of places you get more for your 2mill.

One 1m house in LA - well, actually about 900k - and one in LV I just bought for 1.125m.

So all together I just scrape by ;)

I know you can get more in some places for $2 million. I gave the perfect example above.

What I'm saying is... its still a $2 million house! Meaning it took $2 million to get. Regardless of what city, state, or country you live in... $2 million is still a nice chunk of change!

I think we're arguing about something we agree on.

I don't rent Donovan. I own this shack. My mortgage is $7500 a month.
That doesn't include the pool boy, the landscaper, the cleaning girl, or anything else..

I wish I could say that I did, but I am the owner of 2 new homes in Vegas. As of the last appraisal, $650,000. Not horrible for a 24 year old straight out of college (purchased at 23, and finally completed last month).

Congrats on that property Amp. Nothing wrong with a 2 million dollar home.

The house that I live in is worth about 140k. It is 3 blocks from the beach, and has gast tanks for heat, electricity, and no phone. We use voip. The house was built in the late 50's and had an extra room with a full bath built on top, giving me an office with an ocean view. The house is OLD, and needs to be painted. I have to have the septic tank dumped every 30 day. And I fucking LOVE it.

PS, I am in Mexico!

If I can buy the same exact house and same exact property size for 1/10 of what you paid and pay 1/20 the property taxes who got a better value? That's the point.

You're saying if Person A paid $50K for a 2005 Corvette and Person B paid $50K for a 1976 Gremlin they both have cars worth $50K????

My place isn't worth 2 million quite yet, but pretty close. But I did things a little differently that most. I bought a 4 unit apartment building about 3 years ago. I live in the best unit...but it's still just a small 2 bd. apartment. The other units pay the mortgage so I'm basically sitting here for free, lol.

A 2 million dollar home is a 2 million dollar home no matter what BUT appreciation is different depending where you're at. So someone could very easily have bought something a few years ago that is now "worth" over 2 million even though the orginal purchase could have been much, much less.

No. He's saying they both had $50k to shell out for a car. Same with the 2 mil house.
