That still doesn't change the fact that my rent is about 3 times my dads mortgage. And it doesn't change the fact that you live in a $2 million house. A $2 million house is still worth $2 million.

If I can buy the same exact house and same exact property size for 1/10 of what you paid and pay 1/20 the property taxes who got a better value? That's the point.
You're saying if Person A paid $50K for a 2005 Corvette and Person B paid $50K for a 1976 Gremlin they both have cars worth $50K????
