Define Injunction??

What is the meaning of the injunction everyone that everyone is hoping for?

The FSC is saying in a press release that only paying members of the FSC will not be in trouble during any possible injunction that they are awarded on behalf of their members?

That doesn't make sense to me. I'm not bashing the FSC, but how would they go about telling a judge that the applied for injunction is just to temporarily stop enforcement or prosecution of their paying members?

My understanding is that if the right judge issues an injuction for a law, then the enforcement of that law would have to cease until reviewed.

Wouldn't the enforcement agency involved have to stop during such period of time?

If you were not a member of the organization that applied for the injunction, certainly your private attorney could mention the injunction if necessary.

well, I kind of knew the definition of the word, I was just hoping someone would explain what kind of injuction we are talking about in this context?

Are they filing for an temporary injuction for extra time for its members to get in compliance?

I would assume they are filing for a permanent injunction based on the law being unconstitutional. If awarded, the law wouldn't exist during the time deemed necessary for it to be reviewed.

If that is the case, how can they limit that to members?

Basicly they cant. Also notice the FSC has said they will not release a list of its members either.

the way I understand it is an injunction is an injunction so if the injunction is not given the law will be allowed to go into effect and be enforced ( barring other legal action ) if the injuntion is granted the law goes into effect but will not be allowed to be enforced. As far as I know they can's say " this group of people is okay and this group is not." in a case like this.

Court order barring further legal action until the challenged law is settled by the courts.

Exactly, like a blocking motion that halts everything until certain things are settled.
