My entire dad's side is from france.

Guess what? They left over 40 years ago to live a better life, and by age 50 all of their friends back in "the village" were dead. So they made a good choice.

I still might end up there since I get my citizenship and all that. But Marseilles is a shit hole these days they say, so it won't be there.
