the online license is very expensive, you buy the game, but you cant go online, you have to buy a license per month to game online

It's cool. especially at first. But then it just sort of dies out. There is no penalty for dying and PvP right now is a little weak.

The battlegrounds update should be cool, they have been talking about it for like 2 months now. I haven't even played in a month.

I'm with Azlord, you have tons of fun for a few months, but you can only run the high level dungeons so many times before you just get sick of the shit. And the only other option is to go PVP, which gets old pretty quickly too.

I've played twice in the last few weeks, and I just did some PVP with my guild when I did.

As far as paying $15 per month goes. When Everquest came out, I played it for 2 and a half years, then I got hooked on Everquest 2 and played that since it came out.

There's MANY games that I paid $49 for that I've only played less than a month and put it back on the shelf, so I look at it this way, for every 3 months I play Everquest 2, it's only costing me $45 and I'm enjoying it, so if you compare $49 for a game that I'm gonna play for one month OR $45 for 3 months, which do you think is the better deal ???

I know that there is the initial cost of buying the online game, but in the long run, you're better off

Played it for a long time then quit out of boredom. Honor system came out played it for a few weeks, realized it's the same shit and quit again. Doubt i will try battlegrounds when it comes out.

I put around 500 hours into WoW, ramped my dude to max level, got all the top line rare items, etc, and just got bored. It's a "kiddie" MMORPG, meaning it's very basic and simple. Even morons got to max level easily, and Blizzard has described it themselves as "remedial".

The new PvP additions I enjoyed initially, but have also become bored now. Going to canel the account soon, was fun inititally, but four months is enough to experience 100% of the game.

I think WoW is the RPG right now. I have heard good and bad about EQ2.
I think Xbox live is where it is at right now. The new Splinter Cell rules online, and I heard Halo3 by Xmas THIS YEAR

You guys who play WoW need to check out dark age of camelot. Its very complex and lengthy game. Ive never seen anyone under the age of 18 playing it(play on the role play servers[percival]).
There is HUGE PVP wars and there is benefits to pvp'ing. You can litteraly take over peoples castles, kill their lords, gain levels from it, get stronger from it.
PvE is pretty fun the PVP is addicting. We get in mobs of 200 people and completely take over other realms castles / relics.

it was cool when I played it back in the day. But EQ was way better, so I dropped DAOC and just played EQ.

Oh really? So itīs not deep? thoght itīd be because of the rave reviews.

I paid 10 bucks a month in Ultima Online (which as expensiveness goes you can multiply by 3 when you live in Brazil) and I loved it.

But maye the reason WoW is so popular is that itīs simpler... So it can be a turnoff for me. Gonna think about it.
