Miami vs. Detriot (my predictions)

Miami is going full force with Shaq's return.
This is definitely a HEAT season.

I'm not big into basketball. I'll guess Detroit in 6.

Unless Shaq's bruise gets better, then I see Miami in 7.

I agree. If Shaq comes back strong, they should win the series. Detroit has a good defense but Miami is not far behind. The main difference in the series will be Miami's ability to run the break but also score in a half court offense. Detroit has problems if they get slowed down to a half court offense and they will have to rely solely on their defense. Should go 6 or 7 games making it a good series.

I can sense that Larry Brown has some problem containing Wade who is
pumped and instrumental with the Wizard sweep. Not to mention, Shaq was
out after Game 2 of that series.

pretty valid points dude
this series is going to be measured in offense, where Miami is ranked #4 while Detriot is #24 in Regular season http://www.nba.com/statistics/sortab...ml?cnf=1&prd=1

as far as defense is concerned, both are pretty matched up, Detriot #4, Miami #7

This series reminds of last years finals. And Detroit beat the Lakers pretty easily because they had nothing beyond Shaq and Kobe

Who else do the Heat have? Damon Jones? He couldn't get off the bench in Detroit. Billups will use him up. E. Jones? Prince is much better at both ends of the court. Haslem? Heh, heh, you're kidding right?

People bad mouth Detroits bench, but it's mostly because Brown doesn't play them much. McDyess and Arroyo get the job done enough when they're in there. I don't see Miami having an edge there either.

I hate Detroit, but no one can beat them in a 7 game series. They are by far the most well rounded and deepest team in the league.

To many of you have forgot what this same Detroit team did to Shaq last year. They shut him down making him a total none factor. Detroit has his number and Miami isnt anywhere as a deep of a team as the Lakers were last year. Yet with the additions of McDyees and Aroya (spelling) Detroit is deeper and stronger then they were last year.

Miami will get a game or two, no question, but Detroit will win the series then kill the Spurs (the west team the will make the finals) in no less more then 5 games.

Thats what they said about the Lakers last year. Pistons dystroyed them. Would have been a sweep if it were not for that last second 3 pointer from Bryant.

Shaq has indeed something to prove against Detroit now that he is no longer
under the Lakers franchise. Let's put into context that Miami is very much different the from Lakers club. That's the problem last year with L.A., just too many arrogant players who wanted to shine instead of a team game. Miama has evolved to become a solid team overall, from Defense to Offense. This will be a shining moment for Shaq if they wrap this one with overwhelming rout over the defending champions.

You should have capitalized the "IF".

I have a grand that says Miami will go home again this year... ya in?

The Lakers didnt get to the finals last year because they have a bunch of "arrogent" players. They got there because they were a great team. Pistons, were just WAY better.

I'm not saying its not going to be a battle, but as I have said before. There isnt a team out there that can beat Detroit in a 7 game series.

And who plays the team game better than Detroit. NOBODY. That's why they have the best record in the league since January 1st and why they are the defending chamions. They have borderline all-star caliber players at all 5 positions.

i don't discredit the bench of Pistons, in fact I respect them very much Im optimistic that this will be a BIG game compared with the Western teams.
However, this will all fall down which team is much hungrier with the crown.

this will turn out to be a slugfest in the inside, surely Detriot will find a way
to stop Shaq near his scoring range. I think none from the Pistons can match
with O'neal one on one, thus expect a double team.. a.k.a. Hack a Shaq attack

Detroits bench will be fine. It's not like Miami has much to come off the bench to backup Shaq or Wade.

Nobody can match up with Shaq one on one. That's why last year Dumars went out and got Campbell. To give them more big guys to get fouls. This year they add McDyess to the mix as well.

Did you even watch the finals last year? Ben & Rasheed W. took turns playing Shaq 1-on-1. They will hack shaq a bit--you're retarded not to, since he's such a suck-ass free throw shooter--but the Pistons will play lots of 1-on-1.

Shaq's a year older, a year fatter, a year more broken down. Wade is good, but are his playoff numbers this year really that much better than Kobe's last year? Wait til he gets 40 minutes of Tayshawn Prince every night. I bet he doesn't average 20 for the series.

Let's not talk about the Laker's stint last year... as Ived said, Shaq is on a mission.

not even an entire bench can stop Shaq is he's in the ball.
basketball sucks when a bunch of guys just hacks someone just
to prevent him from scoring. Basketball is not about shooting free throws
all night. I dare the Pistons show honest game of defense.

If you hire guys just to hack a guy down, I guess we should rename basketball to wrestling. I can say Detriot is up to no good if they play such dirty tactics.
