It was sad to see him go. But you guys noticed he didn't have his legs anymore... glad he didn't pull a Patrick Ewing and get traded around til he was forced to retire.

I dunno man...When he hit that 3 to counter rasheed with 2 minutes to go....looked pretty good to me still

...just can't do it night in and night out. I think he would maybe come back...but the reality is that THIS wasnt the pacers...next year Artest will be back and they will be back to being the young punk shitheads and Reggie would ride the bench...

Nothing wrong with shedding a few when a class act steps down.

And that is what he was.

Always hurts a little to see players of that caliber go out without ever getting a ring. Even if you personally like them or not.

I'm a Hoosier, and would love to see him give it one more year. Then again, I kind of think this was a good year to go out on. The team just showed so much heart and scrappiness. There are all manners of champions, after all.

Reggie Miller has been my favorite player dating back to when i was still a kid...ever since i was old enought to REALLY follow basketball in depth i've been a huge pacers fan and the true reason was cuz of #31....

That game 2 i think it was in NY when Reggie hit 8 points in 14 seconds...To this date I still can't believe that really happend when i see it. Its like one of those things when you were a little kid in the back yard and fantasized about making a tough shot...stealing it...making an impossible shot...etc etc....he did it for real

~beaming smile~ A Pacers fan? That's way cool.

I've been watching them since they bounced a red, white and blue ball. I'm old as dirt, in other words. ;)

And you are right, that was something you had to see to believe. And after seeing it, you still aren't sure your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. I told my 9 year old about it the other day, and he thought I was full of shit. Though he didn't dare say as much.

You'd think they'd have one ready. A DVD of his career would be sweet to have.

Bluewire, he nailed those 8 points in 8.9 seconds.

Reggie has been and alway swill be my all time favorite NBA player... I even named my cat Reggie Miller...

I shall miss him playing, but a big thumbs ups to Larry Brown for calling that timeout, a true class act.

Pacers called the first time out; Larry Brown then called the Pistons final timeout (a 20 sec) and said in the post game press conference he regrets he didn?t have more timeouts to call.

ah okay...i think they got confused amidst all the timeouts on TV because they went on about how great it was of Carlisle to call the timeout at that pont...

I always liked larry brown...My favorite pacer years were when he was the captain of the ship. Those years were the heart of the knicks rivalry
