Give us some figures!

Pete-KT 05-12-2005 09:34 PM

this is one program that would be expenive to buy I know maybe a few people that can afford what Steve would ask for it from talking to him before.

Babagirls 05-12-2005 09:46 PM

hire someone to run it.

take them under your wing till 2006 and then "retire".

you'll have endless $$ for the rest of your life, and maybe if theres any problems, you'll still be around to keep it alive & kickin.

this is your baby, treat it as such!!

Easton 05-12-2005 09:51 PM

this will make for one helluva a party at the LS mansion :)

D-Money 05-12-2005 09:55 PM

I have someone in mind that is interested.

I'll hit them up and see if I can get it done.

nikki99 05-12-2005 09:55 PM

I am interested ... do u accept paypal??

psyko514 05-12-2005 09:57 PM

who ever posted the $5 million figure is way off. steve posted screencaps of his ccbill stats a while ago and they showed a gross of about a million a month, iirc.

Mutt 05-12-2005 10:55 PM

so many clueless idiots in this thread you'd think Walmart was having a sale on them. steve knows he isn't going to be able to cash out at the price he wants, not half the price he would want.

Where would GFY be without the clueless idiots?

Probably mid way in the league of boards. :1orglaugh

Mutt 05-12-2005 11:04 PM

i put out feelers on a network a couple months ago - a very valuable network - nobody could even come up with an offer within a million of what its value is.

Didn't we have a discussion about this just a month ago?

don't even try and negotiate with steve when he's home and sober. He's too too good a business man to even attempt that.

wait till he's drunk and horny and then he'll sign anything. You'll get lightspeed for penuts.

in layman's terms- the members are rebilling because of the content and it's already there and growing. who put it there is not a point for arguments. If Steve sells I doubt the members of the sites will run for the hills. Do you see this as national news if Steve moves on or retires? Gimme a break!

no lightspeedcash site is in the top 5000 on alexa. tawneestone.com is at 16,000. other sites are a bit higher, but they aren't huge numbers..

http://www.lightspeedcash.com/lsv4/r..._resellers.php
this shows the top 100 resellers doing less than 100k a month between them.
Assume 100k a month total affiliate payouts, so if webmasters are getting 60% then lightspeed is making 70k/month which they're paying commision on. Assume another 30k of old rebills and members who didnt sign up thru affiliate codes - thats 100k a month, 1.2 million a year, minus employess, paying the girls (tawnee etc get a fair chunk of $$), webmaster referal payouts, advertising the program, bla bla bla...

maybe 800k a year? say a million a year being generous?

so at value = 2 years earnings.. $2 million

keep things in perspective.

I factored that in. gave them 30k a month of their own traffic - about 1/2 of what they make from affiliate traffic, which is undoubtably the bulk of their business.

Lightspeed has been around for ever, ex memberlists / retention / inhouse traffic will make them waaaaaaay more than that, the 30k might be a good week retention income from their inhouse traffic :thumbsup

kenny 05-13-2005 03:59 AM

lol

There is no way you can calculate it from that list of affilates.

I go by facts. Lightspeedcash has always had a focus on affiliates. They're not going to be making 120k/month off non-affiliate traffic if they're only doing 70k/month off affiliate traffic.

True.. however it proves that the company isn't worth 5 mill, and definately isn't worth 20 mill.

Only 6 webmasters doing more than 3k a month.. and this is in one of the larger, respected programs.

IMHO the majority of GFY seem to be pre-rich with delusions of the bright future in which they're doing 100 signups a day. Personally I was doing ~15k a month in 2000 and am out of the business now.

Shouldn't you be out of this place too then? Fuck outta here... Just because you can't adapt to a constantly evolving industry doesn't mean nobody else can.

I don't think affiliates are THAT big of a part of Lightspeedcash. :2 cents:

Exactly!!! The small webmasters will count for a lot. As will the inhouse sales which with the branding of the sites is more than has been accounted for.

Lets face it.. this has to be a practical joke or a gag. Steve is way too intelligent to create a panic that his company is up for sale and post it on a board. That is exactly what is going to happen - panic. He was a winning formula starting from the top - and thats why all webmasters trust lightspeedcash with steve / rochard / sweetums and the rest of the team. This post is too create interest and more than likely is a smart advertising trick.

If he truly had intentions of selling he is not going to post it on an open forum but rather he would slowly contact those he knows will have the integrity and cash that is required to keep it growing. For all the money in the world, I dont think steve would let it be sold to someone who may drive it into the ground and destroy his dream not too mention ruin his employees lives if the company should fall.

Its as much money as it would be integrity of ownership. If steve was truly going to retire - he is not going to stop future cash flow or feel that whatever millions he would make off of it would carry him for the next 60 years of his life. Not too mention walking away from the adult industry and the friendships he has developed.

onlyreal 05-13-2005 06:51 AM

well i am not an expert but i think givin 5-10 million to lightspeed is funny.

well lightspeed is not vivid yes it can be brand for u guys but meanwhile it is notting for outside people. btw i remmember top 100 affilates earnings etc i dont think lightspeed is that big. So yes it has potential etc but with spendin 5-10 million i think you can reach lightspeed position

WiredGuy 05-13-2005 06:53 AM

Wow, I never figured this thread would get so long. This is just a solicitation for an acquisition. This happens all the time in business. I do find it amusing on how people are posting numbers without seeing any financials behind LSCash though. Best of luck if you do find prospective buyers Steve.
