				What's with cats eating plastic?
I was out most of today and came home to find a foot long piece of plastic bag draggin around out his ass.... and a nice brown stain on my carpet. So it's obviously not good for him, so why does he do it? |

				 | I have no idea. My dog eats wood, plastic, wiring....Anything he can get. And I don't mean he just chews it, he actually swallows it. He's a Golden Labrador. |

				 | when I had cats one of mine got in my fishing gear, one day he came zipping though the house and I saw something following him, it was a little turd on fishing line about 2 feet long. I thought wtf guess it didn't hurt him cause he lived another 7 or 8 years. I put the fishing gear up

				 | I have a cat how does this too. Grocery day is his favorite day of the week. I've pulled a ton of plastic and ribbon out of his asshole over the years. Still love the little fucker though. |

				 | years huh? ok, so this shouldn't be too damaging to him then? I don't wanna be sending him into the vet to have a grocery bag removed or something. |

				 | Lol, and I always thought our cat was just weird. We've got two,but one is definitetly addicted to plastic. Anything....tape, the cellaphane off cig packs and anything he can his paws on plastic. He usually throws it up later, but he's been doing this since he was just a kitten and I think he's 10 now. Luckily I've never come home to find it hanging from his ass, but situations like that is when he becomes Liv's cat since I bought him for her |

				 | Cats chew and eat plastic bags because many are processed using animal fat...and to a cat the plastic smells really good. It's not a good idea to leave anything plastic around for them. It can cause major intestinal problems if they don't pass it.
