Fishing Stories [Bloody pic]
Few days ago my good friend, who's also the head of my meat department went out on our friends little ponga the other day thresher fishing right outside my house and came in with this lil guy. (380 lbs)
Needless to say, we've been getting a little sick of eating fish tacos lately... Nice catch for 2 miles off shore here in Newport Beach....  |

When we go out here we see sharks all the time.. Most the time they are hammerheads and will swim right next to you without much bother..

I read years ago, that the story Jaws was influenced by a true story that happened off of San Pedro..it was an article in Parade magazine if I recall.
I used to boogie board off of Venice Beach and I remember the first time a shark swam under neath me...just a sand shark...freaked my shit out even tho' I knew there had to be a bunch in the area anyway..I didn't go back into the water for a month...LOL That movie Jaws totally fucked me up for life. Edited to add part of the story...if I recall the article there were some guys who had caught a big shark and it dragged their boat around for days. |
