ePassporte - MasterCard problem?

Hey guys,
probably some of you noticed that it's currently not possible to add funds to your ePassporte account via MasterCards:

"Due to technical difficulties, we are unable to process MasterCard transactions at this time; however you may still use your VISA. This is a temporary problem and we working to get it resolved as quickly as possible. Sorry for this inconvenience."

I already mailed to the support of ePassporte, but didn't receive an answer until now. That's why I'm asking here, does anybody have an idea how long this will last?

Three days after I signed-up for the ePassporte account I'm not able to add funds.

Just ask yourself if a internet merchant would take so long to fix a important 'technical' problem .. or if it's something else.

I know one major (in this industry) bank had some rather bad news recently regarding Mastercard. I don't know if it's related, but a lot of pay pages are without Mastercard because of it.

I heard that the Israel region lost the ability to process Mastercard transactions. I have a feeling this may have something to do with it. Anyone from Epass here to respond?

I really need to add/transfer some money, and I don't have a VISA card, and I'm not planing to get one, just because of this stupid error.

Actually this has nothing to do with banks in Israel or anywhere else. From my understanding of the situation, a technical change was made at the banking level and the bank wasn't properly set up to handle it. Should be taken care of as quickly as possible though.

thats true. both VISACAL AND ISRACARD cannot process mastercard for card not present transactions

ePassporte recently experienced a technical difficulty which affected your ability to load your account using MasterCard.

This issue has been resolved and services via MasterCard are now available again.

No other ePassporte features were affected and all operations are normal.

We apologize for the inconvenience and expect no such further interruption.
