Instead of ranting and raving like an ignorant unprofessional lunatic on the boards all you have to do is simply send in the offending e-mail (please include headers) and we will take it down.

alienq - you have no clue

Keep in mind guys when you have over 70K clients you will see some abuse its inevitable. Follow the correct reporting procedures and you will see much more effective results.

[email protected] for future incidents please.

Dean has now sent me the complaint it's legit the site is now down...

the hosting companies are making super bank arranging and facilitating servers and hosting for bulk mail. if these dump webair, they'll be up at another host in 24hrs or less. bottom-line, the spoofs will be the downfall in combination with the u.s. connections.

there is nothing you can do to prevent more complaints and the inevitable lawsuits due to the spoofing. it is outside of your control as long as boxes are still reachable there.

from a webair perspective the important question to ask is how does webair keep their legit accounts immune from downtime due to blocking of ip ranges on the mailers?

we settled with m$ in october and never spoofed anybody before that, during or after. we have plenty of experience in the mail sector to know the game obviously.

also we went almost 2 years on the defense because we would not turn over our customer list or rollover in even the slightest way.

and btw using spam arrest is retarded. it is easy enough to train your own mail filters. spam arrest and other services are an impediment to ecommerce.

also if a prospect travels a lot and emails you right before leaving- you will never see that prospect's email and they will not confirm for your setup for your convenience. it is selfish of you.

Well - I have to commend Mikey for taking some action against PerfectGonzo. PerfectGonzo.com is not coming up....nor is AssTraffic.com - the link that was in the spam that I received. Mikey told me hat they would be disconnected immediately and that's exactly what has happened. He says that PG are migrating to another hosting co even as I'm typing this. Now that's what I call stepping up to the plate & taking care of fucking business

I only wish more companies had balls to do these kinds of things. It takes balls doesn't it? I mean....with these sponsor programs waving cash in your face and asking you to turn the other way while they spam the shit out of their programs.....it's gotta be a tough decision for some of these little mom-pop hosting companies. Good job Mikey

Cool your heels cowboy - they'll be back in a few days

Plus....don't thank me - thank your friends at PerfectGonzo. If they would have taken some action against the spammer when I forwarded the spam to them......you'd still be making some sales tonight

that is your own fault for not using a secure sponsor. cry to pg in panama. btw when their servers get lifted one day all of your data will be mixed right in with the spammers and spoofers.

I kinda agree, taking them down immediately sucks for those promoting them. At least give them a deadline... fucked up.

Dude, PerfectGonzo should take responsibility for your links going nowhere. They dropped the ball when I complained about spam. It's not my fault - it's theirs. All they had to do was reply and tell me that it was taken care of - I heard nothing and continued to get spam. Don't worry though - they'll be back in a day or two and you'll be back in business.

yeah i know its ultimately their own fault but still, now i got 100's of links going nowhere losing sales by the minute. it just blows. all that complaints are gonna do anyhow is push these companies offshore where you can't do anything. they were fucking idiots for letting anyone mail anything other than adult targeted optin lists tho.

can-spam compliance is not even an issue here because cowboys are not even caring and those that would maintain compliance are too easy a target.

on top of that issue is that the state laws are NOT gone due to can-spam and the state laws have trickyness regarding requirements that an individual request mail even though can-spam does not.

the solution is simple. consolidate your links to secure sponsors.

anytime you see a subtle "icq me i can take that traffic" from a sponsor rep just run the other way...

when it is ready and deep enough. she is very particular about which pics we can use from the dozen shoots we have so far so we are only at about 600 pics so far. we should be at an acceptable depth soon. all the billing and design are squared away. i will batch you some retouching as well in the near future in bulk.

Sounds good - I can take care of any video editing needs that you may have with her site as well. I've got some vid editing samples (nice Playboy'ish type stuff) whenever your ready to check them out just let me know.
