No shit. I'd like to know if I can send them 15-20 sales one week and then dump all the traffic I can on them for the $1 a click. I highly doubt they'd pay out. They should really rework their terms with a mandatory ratio to stay at the $1 ppc level; all other ppc programs have this for a reason.

I can't believe there are still people rooting for this guy.

Lex, were you seriously expecting a $35k+ wire next week?

I'm not 'rooting' for this guy ... I'm just saying, when a sponsor make a major mistake like that, and blame everything but themselves, there is a serious problem ... if fuckups happen one day, will it be everybody's problems but theirs ?

I'm NOT saying they should pay the guy . Actually they should move him on a PPS sheme or something like that .

I'm saying they should admit their mistake and move on, and change the rules to fix the problem instead of telling lies after lies trying to discredit the guy that sent the traffic and played the game .

more than 5 ways to abuse this system further come to my mind without them knowing i'd be abusing it
just because the traffic would be productive.
why have such a model anyways??
I agree the whole ppc system is flawed. What if he went and PAID $.50 a click one week and his average is .25 per click with you guys, then the next week he sends 35K hits from trash traffic. so you owe him $8,750. He doesn't get any chargebacks from week before so you cant scream fraud. Would you have paid him then???? just curious don't see how any one uses ppc method.

wow....I can feel the LOVE on this thread
I honestly do not wish this to happen to any other program!

After talking with Lex on icq now. I think we agree that there was some confusion with these stats.
The problem is that when, as an affiliate program, you decide to show your top 100 LIVE, because you have nothing to hide, it can backfire on you if there has been an error somewhere.

Untill the error is corrected......what happens: you try to survive a gfy storm

I had a ppc cmpany drop one of my accounts because they got too many SE bot hits (I had links on a site that got a ton of bot action). They had no way or no desire to filter it out, so it became unproductive traffic so they got rid of me.

When I stopped laughing, I called them idiots and moved on.

Dude, you're a fucking retard. You've posted in this thread 8 times, you've attacked IwantU, but you haven't even read the entire thread.

IwantU has already admitted there was a flaw in their PPC payout structure and that they'll be changing it to avoid a similar situation in the future.

His account has not been cancelled. It's been switched over to a lower PPC payout rate, as per there terms and conditions.

One hit, one signup is sketchy, no matter what anyone says. Someone would have to get extremely lucky to have a ratio like that, especially on a PPC program. And if IwantU says the signup became a chargeback, I don't doubt it. Anyone who does needs to get their head checked.

And since that signup became a chargeback, it negates the payout increase to $1 per click seeing as how the conditions for that payout are no longer true.

You guys can be dicks and speculate all you want about what would have happened if the signup was legit. Fact is no one will ever know, and more importantly, IT DOESN'T MATTER. The signup wasn't legit and assuming what the company would've done if it was only makes you look like an ass.

It's me here again.
As iwantu supports told me that 1 sign up i had on the previous week was "deleted" coz there
was a "return". So it means that I had ratio 1:0 and this why I'm not in the top100.
We made an agreement and everything gonna be allright. Have a nice day guys

Thanks for the comment.
If it was a legit signup he sent you it seems you owe him $35k...he played by your rules you had before. Call it abuse or whatever, you guys did NOT have a specific rule about this and now you changed to ratio DAILY. You made a mistake and got owned big time. This should cost you a bit of money but ofcourse you will not pay him $1/click for all his traffic.

here's a wise word i think alex from san diego told me in the past:

no sponsor will pay you more than what your traffic worths regardless if its' pps, ppc...and that's the bottom line of all payout schemes and this thread.

Please read the thread entirely.
We never changed our rules and will never do. The only member that the affiliate referred resulted in a chargeback. Thus, his ratio dropped and his payout dropped.

Please read the thread again and let me know of any question.

It could be possible though! We seen it happen before. Sometimes, the affiliates signup themselves to try to program as well.

maybe one of the reasons affiliates like me and ones that make a LOT more like me USE aff is that AFF won't publish my numbers.

think about it

I agree with you that some people prefer these numbers to be private.
This is why we do not include private accounts in this top100 list.

by a simple request, affiliates can set their account to "private"

AFF is the favorite program of every spammer in the universe. I get more spam daily that goes there than any other program, except for the truly annoying people down the 401 that promote "julie's cam". Stunning levels of spam, most of it filted but some still gets through (stuff like "Meeting tomorrow" and "consider this proposal" type stuff is hard to filter accurately). I don't blame the owners of aff directly, I just report what I see.
