Do you have a black-box?
Putting down $100 to buy 2.5" laptop hdd (40gb is enough) ~ $80 and an external USB2.0 enclorure for it ~ $20 is a very wise investment for storing your most important data. Everyone should have something like this that they can easily unlug and carry with them.
