Worried about cyber-squatting & Cyber-Piracy?
I just came across this article on cybersquatting and thought I'd post it here for all of you to see and maybe get some opinions about this article...
http://unquietmind.com/cybersquat.html It'll probably take about 5 minutes of your time to read... I found it interesting and informative... I especially like all the domains that are owned by Verizon Wireless... Any thoughts about this 'double-standard?' |

There's been recent case law involving John Zuccarini, some of you guys might have heard of him before. Anyway, he registered typos of the cartoonjoe.com domain name and got sued. Court ruled that the recent anti-squatting law applied to typos as well. Pretty stiff penalties in addition to actual damages and turning over the domain typo.
Frankly, I have no problems if its this blatant. But what happens when the original domain holder is a dead dotcom? Gray area? ------------------ Get Paid $2 for every FREE Signup. 20% Webmaster Program |
