I usually get better deals when booking directly with the airlines. I use expedia to locate the better fares then go direct to the airline and book the same flights with fewer restrictions, smaller change fees, and usually a few bucks less.

when booking my flight for august internext via continental directly I saved almost 150 bucks compared to expedia!
