I usually get better deals when booking directly with the airlines. I use expedia to locate the better fares then go direct to the airline and book the same flights with fewer restrictions, smaller change fees, and usually a few bucks less.

I booked thru expedia from here to texas for 250$ round trip :)

Priceline has always been good for me.

hotwire.com has some great deals
